Yeah. There were moments happened with me even when we were not engaged in an armed conflict but placed upto calling distance with pakistani counterparts, verbal spats do happen some time. Sometimes even it went intense upto the limit.

@@justanotherarmyvet2.0 no.... there is a language barrier with Chinese guys. Most of their soldiers even officers don't understand English. They often come with some expertised soldiers who know English and Hindi as well for their translation & mediator work. And due to the firarms ban at the LAC, only physical pushes, scuffles do occur with them sometimes. Verbal communications, vary rare or minimal. We just exchange few common words of English. But as india and Pakistan both are culturally connected both our people understand hindi, share same languages, sentiments, culture and even film topics, so it's easy to converse with them.

@Just Another Army Vet 2.0 this particular brief war showed their capability of nearly super human feats attacking bunkers and posts uphill after climbing up mountains around 18,000 feet. Attacking the entrenched enemy machine guns mostly, uphill in suicidal frontal ww1 style assaults! Every mountain had to be attacked this way, also in minus 15 c and below temps and low oxygen conditions. Just a parting side note, almost yearly for a long long time an indian army team climbs mount everest.

@Just Another Army Vet 2.0 yes during the massive earthquake at everest base camp few years ago an Indian army team was just above base camp at the time, acclimitizating in the khumbu ice fall and the avalanche fell all around them and when they recovered and reached basecamp, it was a mess. It was buried in snow! Khumbu area is not a safe place at the best of times but in an avalanche? Many climbers were seriously injured and or buried in snow. The army men led the rescue efforts and saved many international climbers winning many hearts in the process for their professionalism and dedication. There is a documentary on this on KZbin.
