Great vlog. Native Santiaguinian here. Yu made a tiny mistake which was the part you labeled Barrio Italia is actually the financial sector/stock exchange area of the country, streets londres is very well known for its beautiful colonial and traditional european architecture. Barrio italia is actually towards a different part of the city not in the center. Loved the vlog and hope you enjoyed our city!

Not only Santa Lucia’s hill closes on Mondays, all touristic a places and museums that depend from the government are closed on Mondays for maintenance in WHOLE CHILE, but still you can go to a lot of nice locations that are not related to the government.

Santiago felt like any other big city! Apparently there are a lot of pickpockets but violent crimes are not that common.

All museums, parks and exposition from government are closed on Monday in the whole country in CHILE. Keep that in mind.

My advice is if you go to Santiago be careful with your smartphones and cameras there're so many thief from Venezuela, Colombia and Haiti. The local people are very quiet, warm and friendly but, for an average tourist who goes without any information it is difficult to distinguish the difference between one and the other and sometimes because of them we look very bad to the tourists.

hello. Santiago was nice when it wasn't all graffitied and full of street vendors. Before, people cared for and respected public space more, over time it has been seen that the new generations have no respect for anything.
