Good accent Jan, I just visited, it was great cold and expensive but did it on a budget and stayed at the Bus Hostel. If I visit again I would come in summer and hire a car, though the merc limo tours were good. Wanted to see the Volcano and the lights, but they eluded me this time. Great Country. Merry Christmas.

Thanks a lot for your very informative videos. I'm planning my trip for May 2025 and your tips are gold. I had my first encounter with midges in the isle of Skye in Scotland and, well, they are much worse than mosquitos. You also mentioned drones and I've just realized you made a video on drone regulations about a year ago - I'll watch it now. Are there any changes since then? Thanks again for your great videos an greetings from Brazil.

thank you so much! Yeah I heard that the Scottish midges are hell! Never experienced icelandic midges biting....but some people say they do...Reagrding drones, no changes as far as I know :)

Great video! I bought a phone with a good camera including some zoom, so I didn’t have to bring a seperate camera. That worked quite well for me.

thank you! Glad to hear - Like I mentioned I think that can be more than enough for many people + having just a phone definitely makes things more practical, too

Hi Jan, thanks for this video about 10 Things to Pack for your Summer trip to Iceland. Hope that you have a good Summer Season of renting out your Airbnb. I'm sure with the amount of tourists traveling there in the Summer months it should workout well for you.

Hi Jan, another thing I want to compliment you on is your excellent English 💯. You have an amazing stock of good idioms which you use like a native, which for a Czech in Iceland is a real achievement.
@janiniceland6 ай бұрын
Thanks buddy that means a lot! Still a ton to improve on, especially my eastern European accent but the fact that 90% of my daily life is in English definitely helps a lot. The real challenge now is to start learning and improving on my Icelandic haha

@@janiniceland Your accent is charming, no problem! Use the articles "the" and "a" more often (a typical eastern European trait), but that is only a slight correction at a very high level. 👍👍👍

Great tips! Are those the same as the midges in Scotland? They are the vilest insects on planet earth. but in Scotland they only come out around sunrise and sunset. Hm. No sunset in Iceland in summer. Hm.

thanks! I'm not sure, but from my experience - i've never been bitten by them. some people say they do bite though, and i've even seen photos of people with bite marks all over them. could be more species here
