We just spent 2 week in Iceland in August and followed her guide, and she was spot on! The rain pants were very useful for the waterfall and the unpredictable rain, hiking boots are great on the slippery waterfall path and loose rock volcano hike. Thanks for all the great tips!

Very informative video! One of the best things about Iceland......no hot weather lol. I have a really great cell phone with epic camera (see my photo lol) and on trip #2 were bringing a GOPRO. We have a great camera, just trying to bring smaller things...hate bulky items, "oh be careful don't get the camera wet" yipes.

We're due to leave tonight, and are so excited! I have a question, that I understand I won't necessarily get a answer in time (I should have posted MUCH EARLIER!): For religious reasons, I do not just wear pants (I would wear leggings under a skirt). Usually I live in denim, but I understand that it's insane to wear denim if hiking as it never dries! What would your recommendations be for travel skirts that are at least below knee length?

@IcelandwithaView Жыл бұрын
Hi there! If you think you'd like to take pictures while swimming at Sky Lagoon I highly recommend a simple waterproof case similar to this: a.co/d/2lyJOAL ~ even though they're cheap, they do the trick! Otherwise, yes, leave your phone in the locker!

Hi! Getting ready to come to Iceland this summer. I ordered the power adaptor you linked but then realized it isn't recommended for things like hair straighteners/flat irons. Can you recommend one that is? Also ordered the microfiber towels and hiking boots - thanks for all the info!

Thanks for your support Christina! You will have to check the rating on those hair tools and get a converter that is rated to that number.

@RoamwithRach6 жыл бұрын
I would say to bring clothes that you can layer and bring clothes that can be very versatile so you can mix and match! I went to Iceland in May and the weather changes like crazy so layers are key.

Hey! My friend and i are going to be renting a camper for 4 days in iceland before heading off to mainland europe. Wondering how we should pack water. Should I buy bottled water there? (not a fan of one use plastic) or bring one of my backpacking water filter? Are there lot of options to fill up water on the loop? Somebody please help me out, thanks!

That's a great question! You actually don't need to buy water...you can drink water straight from the rivers/streams here - it's DELICIOUS perfection!

Thank you Jeannie! You have fed my planning compulsion in a wonderful way! We'll be there bright and early on June 27, but can't check into our Airbnb until 4pm. We're renting a car, so we can do whatever we want, but after a quick stop for breakfast (!!!) at IKEA, I'm wondering how you would recommend 2 weary jet lagged travelers spend their time until check in? (No naps!) I've seen a hop, on hop off tour for about $30 per person (one of the airlines). What do you think of that? I know the walking tours are free, but I want to make it past dinner with NO NAP. Lol.
