I'm always impressed seeing people in their 20's landing it when I was out getting drunk, living it up in the city and not saving. Now I'm in my mid 30's and have recently done the saving I should have done years ago, I am going through the process now. It is really hard when you are buying solo and working fulltime to keep on top of the correspondence and estate agents that want to keep the pace going along a certain line. I am looking forward to getting out of the catch 22 of living in someone else's home!.

Oh I couldn’t agree more!! Without someone else (shaun) I would be living at my mums for sure. They’ve made it so hard for ‘younger’ people to get on the property ladder, especially if you are on your own! I wish you all the best with your house search!

I'm not even remotely close to getting a home and ngl, have never heard of a mortgage broker. The world of buying and owning a house is totally new to me and I wish this was something that was taught in schools!! I also wont be getting a joint account anytime soon but it's good to be aware of these things!

Great little video, good shout about checking out the area at different times although I'd probably say save as much as you can and put it all into the deposit to get a smaller mortgage, less to pay back. Also your boyfriend is really natural in front of the camera.
