Kevin Bacon quote about Tremors “I was broke, I had a kid on the way, and my mom had gotten sick, and I felt like I didn’t have a choice. I was like ‘Jesus, this is a movie about underground monsters, how far I’ve fallen.” “It was one film of mine that I wanted to revisit that character. I don’t look back at all,” Bacon told the magazine of (mostly) looking forward concerning his illustrious career. Just as interesting, if not more so, Bacon noted that Tremors is the only film of his he has ever rewatched since its premiere. B movie that became an A movie

*"TREMORS 2: Aftershocks"* was meant to be a theatrical film as well as originally set in Australia, but due to Kevin Bacon being busy with *"Apollo 13"* and Reba McEntire being busy in her music career, Universal gave the first sequel a much lower budget and release it direct-to-video; even after the filmmakers tried to convince the studio to release it theatrically after a positive test screening.

I really like this franchise of rated movies. I honestly like the original tremors. I've even played the video game based off the arcade game, called graboids. And honestly I like the TV series I don't know why it didn't get a second season.
@kyoswkyosw1216 Жыл бұрын
Most of my dreams are still plagued by graboids, but due to knowing how they work it's more like working around any other wild animal. It moves through town? Stop walking. You fall on the ground? Play dead, they think they just knocked barrel or something over. They are more like an obstacle in those dreams than an actual danger due to knowledge

Fun Fact: While working on *"TREMORS 2",* Brent Maddock & S.S. Wilson pitched plans for a potential TV Series in 1993 that was sadly never made. It was called *"TREMORS: Lost Monsters"* and it would've starred Val, Earl & Burt as they encounter on & off throughout the series: an albino graboid (which became the inspiration for fan-favorite El Blanco in *"TREMORS 3"* & the 2003 TV series), but they would also encounter strange, new monsters including a tree-dwelling octopus, a mountain-man vampire, an intelligent bigfoot disguising itself as a ghost, a giant killer shrimp (also seen in the 2003 TV Series), a flying monstrosity, and military toaster-shaped robots that wandered off from Area-51 (yep, that was to be a thing!)

I remember seeing Tremors in the theater when it came out in early 1990, and I enjoyed watching it. As I was watching the beginning of this video, I had correctly guessed that there must’ve been at least a half dozen direct to video sequels, which I didn’t know about and hadn’t seen, and I was correct. In some ways the first film has a similar vibe as Starship Troopers, which also has a number of direct to video sequels. I can see why Michael Gross would want to dive right in and play a gun toting survivalist in a movie right after Family Ties was over so that he could play against type and remove any risk of being typecast in a role he’d played on TV for 7 years. Also, his character got a survivalist’s wish of defeating an intruder that comes crashing through the cinder block walls of his basement and he’s beyond loaded for bear, and ready to overkill it with plenty of ammunition.
