Alrighty, then I'll explain it a bit. In my opinion, I think Sans is referencing one of the amalgamates, which would be the dog amalgamate, which is in the lab mentioned (also, dog food is in the main area), meaning Sans KNOWS about the amalgamates and about Flowey/Asriel. Hope that made sense.
