"End of An Era" was a fitting title for Austin and Taker's WWF Championship Match at Fully Loaded '99. After that match, Austin and Vince's feud was never on the same level. They weren't butting heads after Vince came back later in 1999, and Austin would be out for the rest of the year after Survivor Series and most of 2000. They wouldn't interact much before WrestleMania XVII. Then they'd align during the show's Main Event, which was followed by Austin turning on the WWF during the Invasion. After Survivor Series 2001, Austin and Vince would undergo a double turn, but that didn't lead to more matches between them or major storylines before Austin's retirement in 2003. They would share on-screen time after Austin's retirement, but nothing on the level of 1998 and 1999.

7:25 How did Austin not wearing his black vest spoil the result of the main event? I'm afraid I don't see your logic there. Did fans see Austin wearing a t-shirt and say, "Austin isn't wearing his vest! That must mean he's going over!"?

Jericho *didn't* get a single clean win over Rock or Austin before jobbing the titles to Triple H at Mania X8, so he *wasn't* billed as a genuine star by THEN either...

First thing I saw of professional wrestling was the RAW after Fully Loaded with Stone Cold singing na na na na to Vince as he was sent packing. I don’t know anything of what was happening at the time, but I knew I liked it. Been watching ever since.

That’s one thing that kind of gets on my nerves a lil bit. If it happened before the name change just refer to it as the wwf. Saying stone cold beat the rock at wrestlemania for the wwe championship for example just sounds silly

I was at Fully Loaded '99, the building was so loud when Austin won.

One of my favourite WWF/E finishes ever; the drama of fans realising Taker was bleeding while Hebner was down, Vince's reaction to his "pending doom" (😦😧), and Taker lifting Austin for the Tombstone, and doing the slow turn toward Earl as he came to, building to the pop when Earl sees it and calls for the bell...

ALWAYS thought they should have gone back to Triple H vs Austin vs Rock for Survivor Series *2000* ; it would have been better than Austin and Hunter doing the stupid cinematic revenge/attempted murder angle at the end (that Triple H, as top heel, obviously could only sell for a maximum of two *weeks*, not a damn *year*) or Rock just casually beating Rikishi with a delayed pin after a People's Elbow (not even the Rock Bottom). I don't think it would've ruined Rock/Austin for Mania X-7; the 2001 Royal Rumble Match didn't...

I was trying to look up the tag team title history and my god they have changed the names and totally messed up the lineage. There are technically 3 different lineages. The originals became the Raw Tag Team tires in the original split then just ended permanently when they merged them in 2010. Then they have the smack down ones that looked like the originals that somehow the original split Raw tag team lineage became the new smack down tag titles…and the new raw ones were then a whole new title.

The "thing" they're referring to that we "didn't know" is that Gorilla was still doing commentary for WWF programming even on the smallest international exclusive shows right to the very end...

One thing you didn’t know was that in 99 Matt Damon ended up winning every single title, but once Vince Russo left, Damon left as well.

It’s crazy to think if Vince Russo had stayed in WWE and not jumped to WCW. WWE would’ve died and we would be watching WCW.
@ronaldshank7589

Why is it, that Vince Russo seemingly did everything he could, to assassinate not only the Then-WWF, but also WCW, and even TNA?!? It's no wonder that, even to this day, WWE doesn't want him back! If I was Triple H, I'd tell Vince Russo that I wouldn't want him anywhere on WWE Property!
@criminalmindsgirl2936
@criminalmindsgirl2936 8 ай бұрын
Who cares if Vince didn't support Russo, Andy. Russo needed Vince. Not the other way around. WWF's Attitude Era survived without Russo. And as we all saw, Russo ruined and helped buried WCW. You really have a hatred for Vince McMahon.
