I read in a children’s book that usually that male Dilophosaurus if they have the biggest crest they get selected to assess with the females so the bigger the crest, the better bloodline or something

So its unclear whether the shape and size of crests differed based on the sex of the animal since every dilo fossil has different crest shapes fossilised.

Such an interesting dinosaur and great to see its life and portrayal evolve over the years. Since it's theorized that it could catch fish, it would be cool to see that in Evolution 3, have it hop onto the Fish Feeder like the Spinoraptor.

Indeed the whole piscivore feeding idea is certainly new to me. It was a very interesting study

It’s a good thing that you didn’t put the fanfiction of feathers on Dilophosaurus, because there is no actual evidence of this animal, since this animal is not a member of the colerosaurus group.
@tri-clawgaming76822 ай бұрын
Well actually there is a disputed trace fossil of a trackway left by a possiable Dilophosaurus were some markings around the foot print are therorised to be feather markings, however some other paleotologists think there are markings made by shifting sand under fossilisation so...

Pterosaurs and Ornithischians had feathers, lol. Hell, one of the famous feathered genera, Sciurumimus, appears to be a Megalosaur. Even without the disputed buttmarks, (some) feathers are firmly far more likely that full scaly for Dilophosaurus.
