Don't throw away dry clay! It's still useful as a filler for a larger project - for example, if you are making a cat latte art, you can fill the head part with the dry clay, and cover it with the fresh one. This way you won't waste any material you spent money on.

@Nunya Bidness Thank you! Yes, I shop a lot at 1127Handcrafter and they offered to send me the clay for review and giveaway :). Their shipping is very efficient and I hope you'll have a lot of fun with your craft supplies. I would definitely recommend only using acrylic paint for colouring clay. Acrylic paint dries very quickly and is waterproof, which helps make the clay even stronger. (Be careful never to use oil paint in clay because that will turn greasy and won't dry properly).

This was really helpful. Watching your tutorials has made me really want to try some of these crafts. I've only ever used Fimo clay when I've made things in the past and didn't know what types of air dry clay had what qualities. This video helped show the pros and cons of each type of clay. I might try some of these out once the semester is over. Now I need to decide, do I want to do clay things or learn felting?

Great video, thank you for sharing the information with us! Although this is an old video now, if there’s anyone just discovering it like me, it seems like you’re better off not buying dark clay unless you’re going to use it all at once. Do like she says and just color it with acrylic paint, paint it afterwards, or, pro tip though not suitable for every situation, use pastels, they give an amazing look.

Great video! I'm not really...the best...when it comes with handling air dry clay but I find it better than polymer clay because I don't always need to go to the oven and I've now just moved houses and I don't really understand how to use this oven! I usually just wrap some tape around the packet and leave it and a couple days later it's harrd in some places so I found this video very helpful!

Notice on Modena resin clay is called "Air dry polymer clay" :D
@maqaroon8 жыл бұрын
Yep, that's definitely not technically correct because polymer clay needs to be oven-baked by definition. I think the company decided to market it like that so that people realise that the clay is very similar to polymer clay once dry.

i have been working with polymer clay for a long time but I don't often get the chance to do any projects because my house heats up horribly whenever I use the oven so I can only use it in the winter to bake my projects. This is a problem because I have school in the winter. So when I have time out of school to craft I don't an oven and when I do have an oven i don't have time. I was told about air dry clay by a friend who watches your videos and I had heard of it but I was scared to buy it because there was a lot I didn't know about it. thank you for this video I plan to get some now that I am a little more confident in working with it thanks to you.

I’ve one question though: I’ve made keychains and small book charms before with paper clay, but i find that over time, the clay part would detach from the metal eye hook that I’ve secured on it, especially with the keychains because they’re more frequently handled compared to the charm bracelet (because i rarely wear the bracelets lol). Any tips on how to properly secure the eye hooks to the paper clay?
