I would say know the trends of the genre of pops you like. Anime pops tend to sell out quicker. Where others don't. So If you are on a budget make sure to snatch the ones that sell out quicker.

Don't let the insert get thrown away is what I wish I told myelf! I got a grimmjow and renji funko pop on christmas and someone threw away the insert! So now I needa browse ebay and mercari everyday looking for a box replacement :(

Save the boxes! I started early on as a casual out of box collector, tossing the boxes without a thought. Finally saw a few years later how many early pops are actually worth with the box

also save the inserts. I tried to save space by binning the plastic insert and fold the box flat. It's a waste of time because at that point there's no value in the box.

This was even before i started collecting funko the number one thing i did when i bought my first one was simple i keep it in the box because that's with anything collectible if you're going to sell something buyers 1. Want them mint in the box and 2. If you have them autographed they want proof of a coa with it. As a collector myself there's still one thing i still havent figured out and thats why some funkos just have pop written on them and some has the red bar under it that says marvel, television, etc. 🤔🤷‍♂️

Nice list for people. As for the question of the day, the thing I would have love to tell myself when I started was not to go to hard in buying almost every pop that I saw that I thought was ok. Still paying for it now every time I have go through my collection and try to sell off one I don't need anymore to make room. Also, don't buy so many mystery boxes. I am still trying to kick that bad habit.

I would have told myself, "Just get it!" My first experience with Funkos was about 5 years ago when I saw a Shadow the Hedgehog with Chao in my local games store for $25. My Mum didn’t want us getting into them and told me not to get it. She gave in a bit later for a Pikachu on clearance for $9 (They really ordered more than they needed). Last year, I really wanted it and it costs $200 now! I was lucky to find one for $50 that was a little scuffed on the box. Lesson learned: get it when you see it, or the chances of getting one later are slim.

Don’t collect sets just to complete it and not enjoy it! Spent so much money trying to complete a set, that half of the pops I bought for the set I didn’t even want, lmao, only collect pops that you genuinely want!

I got an 18 inch All Might for $28 at my local GameStop. They already had him locally discounted for 50 bucks, but then they were having a nationwide sale on Clearance items. I had walked in and seen him many times. I asked “with the discount on All Might what’s the price on him now?” She was like “28 dollars! Wow that’s crazy!” I literally ran to All Might in the store and grabbed him and ran back to the counter. I would’ve pushed children if they were in my way!! (Just kidding) But dude…still my happiest Funko moment

I just started too I got 4. All Dragon Ball I got glow chase Goku with wings, UI Goku vs Jiren in a 2 pack set, and super saiyan Trunks w sword lol. I don’t know much just been grabbing what I like. It’s crazy cuz the Goku w wings shot way up in price recently.

Really usefull video, Liked it, Personally Im thorwing boxes away, I like my funkos to be displayed,Having them In the boxes Im so much limited, cant take it and have a look arround, or Im not a fan of taking out each funko from the boxes, i like to see in 360 instead of looking thrue the box, its my personal prefenence, not even a single funko of mine are in boxes, I have display port and they are covered by glass, and I can always have a nice 360 look into them

Try checking out toy temple they bundle a common and chase for $80. Typically new chase if it glows go for around 60-$80. If it does not glow usually it's abot $50 to $60 if new and if we are talking anime.
