One change I noticed as an underwater tribe is that charge batteries in underwater cryofridges would last indefinitely in A:SE but in A:SA they last around 3 hours before running out; though you can use wind turbines or tek generators for power underwater and dyeing your cryofridge black keeps it from shining.

@@nuotatorre8741 one thing for sure is there's a lot of lazarus chowder! Many structures don't function in the water but underwater caves fix that aspect. Couple of thousand chowder stocked up between us all since it's more convenient than scuba and lets you wear good flak rather than using tek. Easy prime and prime fish meat & when the Archelon comes out, it might passively produce a mutton-like food for herbivores that we're excited for.

Some just find it relaxing farming the abyss trench on the center map and you get lots of crystal and metal there; plus decent alpha dino xp to get a chibi pet your bonus five levels from killing mosa and squids. The visual from wearing scuba masks can be annoying though so entering console command r.fog 0 to make water clear turned out to be the most popular alternative people do.

No flying wasn't harder just sucked. And once u got the rock drake that was pretty much the same as flying. Dont really take long to ninja an egg either. No access to the terminal actually hurt people more. The constant no light spawns were fun at first but get boring fast also.

New player here! Yes, we do. I've played for a week and love the variety of maps because each one feels like a different challenge, and while aberration feels the hardest so far, it looks stunning, and has some of the coolest dinos I've seen so far. Definitely unique.

I'm super happy with Abberation and it runs pretty well on my console, I'm just upset with how bright it all is. It's a cave, why do I feel like I'm outside? Other than that and Pyromanes, I've got very little to complain about.

I was a little skeptical about the performance update but I must say it's definitely improved the performance on my PC, it even helped keep my PC cooler. However I'm pissed that Aberration has been littered with trees and bushes, Evolved was much better for this map unfortunately.

I am having an issue where every time I mine a metal rock (I know it’s a metal rock because it has some blue on it) in the bioluminescent area, I get one iron at best per rock. As if it was a regular rock. Anyone know how to fix it.

dont know if its just me or the xbox, the gene trait gun, even with the trait storage placed and powered, and a brand new gun, comes up with a cannot determine max trait storage in the box that would normally list the traits on the dino, so either i did something wrong or it plain doesnt work on xbox

Its my most played map in ASE, things I hate about the ASA version after over 10 hours. 1 - Why are there so many rocks in the pathways? Try having a tame follow you only to get stuck or be shocked when it can't follow you. 2 - Why are there so many god damn fish in the river? It lowered your FPS by 20 every time you go near it. This was an issue on ASE as well how is this not patched? 3 - Its so dark that half the time I can't see where the fuck I'm going.

Basilisk is in many places but the easiest to access is the "easy" (yeah right) portal starting area, its totally infested with basilisks on my new server. Tamed a 140 an hour ago with 44 points in melee base, cloning it with a low level male now, gunna be a beast once i start stacking melee mutations,

I've had THE most miserable time trying to play. If I'm not crashing every 5 minutes, the servers are ALL full. FOR DAYS. For days, the servers have been totally full. it's been fucking horrendous. I got one ONCE over the weekend only to IMMEDIATELY crash, and then the server was full all weekend, locking my character in limbo.

ark is sacred in my heart, so i was really looking forward to this map and tried it on low graphic settings, but i had a horrible time, so laggy, so bad mesh(getting perma stuck), my deathbags mark doesent appear, two basilisks on the easy spawn completely arking my playthrough, mods dont work and bug the item system (i couldnt put 4 narcoberries in with the other 58)... its honestly a shit show and its sad to see.

Unreal Engine 5.0 is demanding, even for high-end PCs. It’s not Ark, the game itself runs fine but the engine it’s built on is one of the most cutting-edge, forcing many people to upgrade their PCs. In about three years, these graphics cards will likely become affordable enough to be included in pre-built systems. This issue is reminiscent of when the RTX 3000 was hard to get, and few could run the latest Unreal games at max. The engine is just too advanced for our current hardware, lol.
