One thing that may be handy to know for newer players is the 4 light pets all have different things they do best, bulb dogs have the highest max energy, shinehorn has bigger light radious, glow tail has faster regen and featherlight is good at all 3 but master of non. Personally early game bulb dog is best you can get them to 5k charge without having to breed, but glowtail once bread will be able to fully regen in just a couple seconds its the best one imo.

A few notes: Basilisks don't have an Oxygen meter but unfortunately still get wasted points in Oxygen. Same with Karkinos'. This was fixed for Rock Elemental's early on in ASA SE, so I hope the same will happen here. Watch out for Gigaraptor's and egg hatching, some eggs (I tested Wyvern) the Graptor will hatch the egg with no traits, even though if you manually hatch it, they will have their traits. Edit: This does the same with Rock Drake egg's. DO NOT HATCH ROCK DRAKE EGGS WITH GIGARAPTORS, they will strip the trait from the creature when it's born. Mega's are INCREDIBLE on AB, they have Rex level HP (short a tiny amount) and have a higher melee stat. They are faaar superior to Spino's, much higher dmg and much more HP. Also much smaller and easier to handle going down into red zones and being able to fit them everywhere. Reaper's have a few changes in ASA, including them scaling off your character's level AND the queen's level. A 155 survivor, and a 150 queen will produce a 227~ ish reaper baby (with the 75lvl bonus). A 105 survivor (normal level cap on AB) + 150 queen will produce a 197~ ish reaper baby.

This is why I like making these videos, I get to teach MOST of the information about every creature and showcase them in all their glory and I also get to learn more things myself from comments like this :D. I did know about the Reaper scaling and how it works, just chose not to include it as I wanted the video to be shorter but yeah some of these taming methods and abilities take a long time to record and edit to cover properly, thanks for the info! I'm going to assume the Gigantoraptor not hatching eggs with traits would be a Wildcard issue as they release everything broken 🤣 so hopefully that will be fixed in the future!

Yi Ling is pretty badass to be honest, I still knew it wouldn't dethrone the Rock Drake. It's literally one of the best creatures in the game of ASE, now it is king in ASA! Great video man!

Yi is definitely my favourite tame so far, they don't have much weight but being able to get everywhere is worth it. Also love how the best way to tame it isn't by trapping the creature but trapping yourself instead

Honestly the Karkinos could’ve definitely been higher, once you get an imprinted one they’re an amazing all around mount till you get a Rock Drake. Nearly as fast as a Spino when jumping with added verticality, the ability to grab dinos, and an insane weight stat makes it really good and imo the best mount till you get your first Rock Drake.

Tbh it's probably higher for me personally, I do make the list thinking about what is the most useful for people. I'm addicted to farming metal with double Ankies with the Karkinos haha so it's probably a top 3 for me but I know it probably wouldn't be for most people, the Anky would always be a top 10 for me but it never shows up in any of my TOP 10 videos because I guess there's just more valuable creatures than it in the long run! But yeah that is the reason why the Karkinos wasn't so high up, nice to see someone loves them as much as me XD

Yi Ling only exists as a method to easily snatch rock drake eggs. After that it kind of outlives its usefulness in my opinion

Nah rock drake it still better. The needle attacks do alot of damage but your accuracy will never be 100% and it drains stam really quick. Plus if you run out of steam and are forced to land, you’re screwed. Melee damage and defense are garbage. I’ll take my lvl 40 rock drake over my 96 Yi Ling any day of the week for fighting or just transport.

Yeah honestly, Yi Ling is cool and can output a lot of damage with the needles but if we're talking damage output the Rock Drake could have done that amount of damage in 4 or 5 bites in a few seconds haha while the Yi Ling is still flying around working on the needle bar XD

note the reaper has a bug where it will not give you the checkmark for it's dossier after taming because of the way it's tamed, the same bug is there for a few other creature's the Rhynionagta is one of them, and the Rockdrake also have this problem, so if you are trying to get the dossier checkmarks and dont have them even though you have tamed them it's because of a glitch.

I have this bug on my Xbox that makes some aberrant creature variants (not all of them) show up as regular variants such as the spino, sarco, moschops, trike, electrophorus, araeno, and arthropleura just to name a few and it's really annoying!!!!! The best tame metode for Karkinos is find one with baby and kil adult and take baby. I once take that 70lvl very easy on adventure begining. No need traps, no need catapult and ammo. No risk to kill trying sleeping one big.

Yes, higher level Queen will mean you'll be able to get a higher level baby, the level of the survivor will now also have an impact on the baby level for example. A 155 survivor, and a 150 queen will produce a 227 ish reaper baby (with the 75level bonus from killing creatures for XP). A 105 level survivor + 150 queen will produce a 197 ish reaper baby. Hope that makes sense!

They stack though, so if you consume 6 you receive 240 health over time. Why use 1 to get 40 health over time and do it 6 times when you can down all 6 in 1 go? Yeah it doesn't speed up the healing effect but it makes more sense 😂

I'd have to say the Aberrant Direbear (which I was originally planning to include it but with the addition of the Aberrant Gigantoraptor and Yi Ling it missed out), Aberrant Beelzebufo, Aberrant Ankylosaurus and probably the Aberrant Baryonyx! The Direbear was the one I was most sad about leaving off the list, they are so good for this map with the amount of Poly they can gather from the bushes in the Element region!

Honestly, light pets should be 1 They are vital to this map You could argue that other shoulder pets are better, but on Aberration, they are the rulers here You need them in Blue, Red and all 3 surface areas and iirc the boss arena (Can't remember if the boss reapers have the armor and the high regen) I remember when they were originally not rad immune, so you had to feed them the mushroom stew
