When I was a university student I lived in very old and drafty house from the 15th - 18th century. In the staircase there was a smoke detector and when it started beeping, neither me nor my roommates bothered to change the batteries for half a year. Because of the draftyness of the old building you could already hear our smoke detector beeping outside in the street when you just walked around the corner. So this sound is deeply engrained in my brain and whenever I hear the sound in a video, immediately I think my smoke detector batteries are drained. When I realise it's in the video it feels like being a child and dreaming of math lessons, then waking up and realizing it's only 4 AM and you may turn around and continue sleeping peacefully. Sorry for rambling. Maybe somebody can relate.
