Today we countdown 10 facts about the squad 6 captain, Byakuya Kuchiki! The head of one of the four noble families in Bleach!
This video is part of a small Bleach marathon to countdown the days until the end of Bleach, with chapter 685. (sadly enough)

What if they introduced more of the Kuchiki clan and they made it the real reason Rukia's sister died was because the Kuchiki clan decided to kill her to punish him for breaking the rules. that would be insane and it would act as incredible character development for the new kuchiki or Kuchiki's introduced and for Rukia.

Small facts probably no one will ever read. It is known that Zanpakutos are born along with their Soul Reapers, and as such share the same characteristics and tastes as their Soul Reapers. Despite appearing to be calm and collected to others, Senbonsakura can be very childish and unthinking about consequences at times, and has also been shown to get easily drunk. And as I said, their personality is a reflection of their Soul Reapers. This may in fact explain Byakuya's cartoon creations and his quick interest in any form of competitive event... Also, one of Senbonsakura's weakness is if the release is negated in any form, just like when Yoruichi wrapped the blade in cloth before it could release (when Ichigo tried to save Rukia from being executed by the Soul Society.)... Byakuya has a column in the Seireitei Communication titled "All About Etiquette".

No what he said makes sense. Byakuya does have a more playful side, he’s just mature about it. You can see it when he fights and he’s talking mess to opponents. You can see him being impatient when an opponent doesn’t die how he planned.

The number of blades is specifically stated twice. He says his Shikai becomes a thousand blades, and describes his Bankai as Senbonzakura (lit. 1000 Sakura petals) becoming 1000 blades and doing it again. 1000×1000=1,000,000 One million blade fragments. Specifically stated by the weilder of the weapon at least twice (once vs Ichigo, and once vs the Espada that controlled stuff)

maybe he didnt wear his captain haori because he didnt want to seem too imposing and official in that small assignment that the soul society sent him on. the coat does make them look official although perhaps the head captain scolded him for not wearing it. remember at the end of the aizen arc he was scolded along with kenpachi and shunsui?

Byakuya was a captain when he showed up in the anime for the first time. He didn't have on his captain coat because he went after rukia, which was a clan issue not affecting the aspect of being a captain of the gotei 13.

+2Spooky For #3 If you can go back and check Episode 16 of Bleach, you may hear in the episode that Renji had called Byakuya by the rank of "Captain" and, of course, his last name "Kutchiki". So maybe either when you said that not all of the captain robes have been implemented, OR Byakuya did not had the intention of bringing his captain robe when suddenly appeared during that time. It can be possible about the implementation of captain robes since it is the beginning of bleach, but let's say now since we know quite a lot about Byakuya's personality in general, it can be pretty logical that Byakuya would not have the intention of bringing his captain robe during that time.

I just noticed that when Byakuya first appeared in the series, he doesn't wear captain's coat.. but in the, live action movie, he does. So maybe, the reason is Kubo hasn't finished or created the captain's coat yet.

I'm not totally sure but I think in the anime Byakyua specifically SAYS that his scarf and hair things are white/silver (it's near the end of the Zanpaktou arc, when he meets up with the bad guy and realized he's a member of the Kuchiki clan as well.) The green shade is just shadow effects, I think.

A theory on why Captain Kuchiki didn’t wear his coat. He is first know to not like it (aka refer to it as cheap). Secondly he is also known to take it off or loose it when fighting. Lastly he considered capturing Rukia a personal matter. So that leaves me with two cannon (in universe explanations) that make sense. 1 he simply was in battle some time before this and had not gotten a replacement for yet. This unknown battle could have been anything and may even happened a while before this and he just didn’t get around to it or maybe they take a while to make or some combinations. 2 more likely, he left it behind much like Renji leaving his Vice Captain’s badge behind when Renji went to fight ichigo. Basically this was a matter of personal importance and he was not there representing the 13 court guard squads but as Rukia’s elder brother and to symbolize that he did not take his coat with him. If he did, then it would have implied that he was there strictly for work and he wanted there to be no doubt this was personal.

Hey... as you're talking about "no one" able to do anything about his Bankai...... remember that Ichigo's primary power is speed.... he was able to bat away THOUSANDS of those shards FASTER THAN WE CAN BLINK. there is ZERO reason Ichigo could sustain that battle if he were taking even DECENT damage.... he did need to go hollow, but seriously, look at the CIRCUMSTANCES of a situation before even bringing it up
