Don't be fooled by CVS 50% off because their regular prices are sometimes higher than retailers so 50% comes down to regular price.

RIGHT? They are crazy expensive! CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid where I live have almost nothing left on the shelves. It's not because they sold out, it's because of the huge problem we have here in SoCal with "smash and grab" gangs that hit stores as a flash mob and clean out the merch. Last year, Walgreens had my favorite cologne on sale, so I figured I'd outsmart the thieves and order it online so I could pick it up at the store, where they keep those ordered and paid-for items behind the counter. NOPE! The thieves took all those packages too! At least they gave me a refund, but only after I loudly said, "So, you're telling me that I can't get a refund on the item I paid for online, because YOUR store allowed it to be STOLEN?!" The store manager quickly stepped up and gave me a refund, since I had the attention of other customers who were also annoyed by their "policies". First they told me I could only get a refund if I bring back the item back that I bought. HOW?? How the heck can I return an item that I don't have, because it was STOLEN under their watch?🤨😕 I've had all my prescriptions switched to another pharmacy. I was already annoyed at Walgreens for refusing to sell Plan B, *which is legal in all 50 states* and can be purchased over-the-counter without a prescription. I'm elderly, so that doesn't affect me, but it affects people I love. Walgreens and many CVS stores allow employees to deny prescriptions for birth control or purchases of condoms based on their religious or "moral" beliefs. Our Walgreens will not even sell condoms, even though they are important for preventing STDs. No drug store employee should have that much control over the customers' lives.

I stopped by today for the pharmacy but figured I would look for any leftover Christmas items, candies 2 for $7 and other non candy items 33% off that's no sale! So sad just mark it down it will end up in the dumpster if they can not sell it 😢

I researched last night and went first thing this morning. Lowe's has 75% off all holiday decor and Home Depot was only 50%. Home Depot however, (went to 2) had more large items on clearance (like inflatables and yard decor) whereas the one Lowe's had mostly lights and small accessories. Often overlooked is Walgreens, they are a small store so they have to clearance out and move items fast.

Hey I never knew I needed a list like this! You have all the best lists! Holiday chocolate is definitely one of them. Like lindt truffles holiday versions. I'll have to take a look at that marked-down Christmas candy at CVS. I normally only hit their drive thru to pick up prescriptions, but everyone in the family has a sweet tooth, and during the winter we can even bring chocolate along in the car to snack on without fear of it melting.

Amen to THAT! I need to get rid of soooo much stuff I don't need. In the last month, I gave away two vintage automobiles and tools to a neighbor who fixes older cars and sells them (or gives them away) cheap to poor folks who need them. My old, beloved 1997 Ford Ranger truck is going to a young mother who needs it, the 1973 Plymouth Duster will be sold for whatever he can get, so that money will go towards fixing other cars up for deserving folks. I live so far off-grid, my 3 miles of dirt road to my house requires a serious off-road vehicle, so I traded those vehicles that didn't run for a marvelous 31 year-old Toyota 4Runner that has been lovingly rebuilt and dependable. I love it, it has funky personality, and big beefy tires that can get in and out of here easily. I heard about another neighbor whose wife left him and took everything from the kitchen, he literally didn't have a pot to p__ in! I have too much of everything, so I fixed him up with a box of essentials; cast iron skillet with glass lid, two sauce pots, some big spoons, bowls and other kitchen needs. He has two little kids, so he desperately needed those items, and I didn't. Feels good to get rid of things, especially if it helps someone else.
