Be aware that there are locations that slack quite a bit. At the Whataburger near me, you can wait as long as 40 minutes in the drive-thru, or if dining in, you can be waiting 20 minutes or more for your order to be ready. Recently, a couple got fed up after waiting nearly 25 minutes, cancelled, and got a refund. Also at this same location, there is a new night manager with an attitude. He got on some teens for being loud, threatened to refuse them service, and to kick them out ("You think I'm playing? Try me!!"). I don't think they were that bad, and I would have handled the situation better, and more professionally. He also started walking back after calling a number and not getting an immediate response. The customer noticed in time. The thing is you don't take your stress out on customers. The next day he went to talk to a waiting couple, and I heard him grumbling about their attitude on the way back to the counter. I could tell he's a male Karen. He's more focused on customers' impatient attitudes that he caused and loud teens than he is on fine-tuning his staff for quality product and service.

I think it’s like that for most chain. Burger King is surprisingly good where I live, but there are plenty others that just have crap food. The only one I’ve gone to every time and had a consistent good experience is In-n-Out. It just depends where the location is and the employees they typically have. Luckily I go to Arizona quite often, and their Whataburgers are usually pretty good. Inconsistency is definitely an issue with chains.

I’ve been to Whataburger hundreds of times. The only things worth getting are the patty melt and the Dr Pepper shake. Everything else is trash.

The best thing about Whataburger is it's open 24/7 , even though it was a little better before they sold the company a few years ago, it's still real good and they have a lot of things on their menu and all of it is quality.

Most Whataburger joints I've been to get it hot blue and righteous every time. And then some others do not. I reckon most any chain restaurant is like that. Thankfully the one I go to right across the street from the HEB I work at, rocks harder than penitentiary steel and they always get it right. Just the other day at 6am I walked in and ordered 3 bacon cheese taquitos, 3 sausage egg taquitos, 4 honey butter chicken biscuits, a pancake and sausage breakfast, a large onion ring, and a large coffee to take to my team that morning. Ever 'thang was fresh, hot, blue, and righteous with one exception. I forgot to grab a cream and sugar for my jefe's coffee. That one was on me. On another note my favorites are the single cheese with jalapenos, the patty melt, a large onion rings with spicy ketchup, and an apple pie. I love love loved the Whatacatch fish sandwich but its not available now. I reckon they only bring it out in spring time and Lent. No matter. I just love Whataburger and so does everyone I know here in Texas!

and Whataburger has one awesome item you may not be aware of, their "Spicy Ketchup." As far as I'm concerned, it's THE best ketchup out there....heck I have even used Whataburger Spicy Ketchup on my Saint Louis styled ribs...let me tell you using one word, "DELICIOUS!"

They’ve got rid of a lot of products in the past 2 months. Chicken bites, jalapeño cheddar biscuits, fish sandwich, chicken fajita taco( you can still order it if you know how. It just will not have fajita veggies. So add grilled onions and jalapeños with tomatoes. I add avocado to mine with shredded cheese. Awesome. Hack), lemon pie.

Is it breakfast time and you're REALLY HUNGRY and you want a hearty meal? Then you should order the "Hatch Chilli Double Whataburger" then add an egg to that sandwich. Add an order of hash brown sticks and I guarantee you will be full, satisfied...just don't order this before you go to class if you're a college student, a meal like that may very well cause you to DOZE OFF in class!

I used to work hospice and it was a hard job, when I had free hours the Monterey Melt was my comfort food and you guys took it away! I would like to know which cold corporate scumbag decided to remove the best burger ever made from the menu. It's like when taco bell got rid of pico de gallo, it made no freaking sense back then and it makes no sense now.
