What if...juuuust whaaaaat if...Punk kept botching the buckshot lariat in the lead up to the match with Hangman to make us all believe "He's missing it now so it'll be so much better when he finally hits it once they have their match!", BUT(!!), the actual swerve was part of the story🤔 That story being that in pro wrestling we're conditioned to believe that the guy who keeps botching the move will certainly pull it off in the end when he needs it most, but instead he was showing us that it's not always like that in real life? Therefore he botches it again when he tries to do it in the match, and what we're supposed to take away from that is that he's just too old or whatever to pull off moves that younger & more athletic guys can pull off. So now he has to change his strategy and dig down deep to figure out a different way that he can overcome Hangman, since the old ways aren't working? Yes, i know that's not what actually happened, and i know he just accidentally botched it, but if pro wrestling is all about suspending your disbelief, then i thibk I'm gonna choose to believe my theory 🤷🏽‍♂️😊
