Sheamus’ hard-hitting resurgence also made me like Gunther as well. Prior to their match, Gunther was booked as an unstoppable champ, which I hate because it fails to showcase both wrestlers’ in-ring performances when one wrestler is booked to dominate their match each week. Gunther’s match with Sheamus makes him feel vulnerable and humanizes him which makes him feel like he can lose his title.

While shemous has 100 percent gotten better in the ring as of recent and found a great character, he was always over hated. When he debuted he was raw in the ring but not horrible and quickly became a pretty good in ring worker, having some really good matches with multiple openent(his matches with big show come to mind). The issue with him was fans just being done with the product as a whole and taking it out on him as well as poor booking. He was pushed to quickly when he debute despise being raw and having a unpolished character, and when he did strike gold wwe would go to the well one time to many(once again go back to the big show feud). And the booking never really improved, and his main event runs were often during real lows, like that 2016 world champion run. But once he was paired with Cesaro and given the ability to just wrestle, he put in really good tag matches. And now he’s shown he can be great in ring with proper freedom, something he has always showed at least to a point, and has a fun charcater. Often times performers get blamed for poor booking. This is scene right now with theory. Theory is good on the Mike and really solid in ring but gets called bad on both, even tho his issues are that wwe can’t book a good story around him to save their lives or capitalize on big moments. Not saying he was perfect or amazing throughout his career, but I believe my point stands
