I enjoy him. He reminds me of the elder in my surroundings in. “After thirty years with Lady Merton I am proof against teasing.” I think it is then Isobel earns respect for her family and he inspires he to attend the ball. Such a good match. She fell in love with him because he could put her in her place. And he adored her wit and rough charm.
