I remember shortly before “Nazi Cap” happened, the internet was in an uproar over the suggestion of making Cap gay. I jokingly thought the people crying about gay Cap see Nazi Cap, turn around & basically say “Just how gay are we talking here?”

I think the normal disagreement is changing a character into something they are not, we know the dude is a straight arrow(See how he misses Peggy Carter and such in MCU). Nazi Cap/Hydra cap is hard to swallow, its new but from readers perspective it was seen as thats who he is and thats the norm and never going back. People would hate that. I think a more pallatable idea is bringing a different universe one in to basically do roughly the same thing Hydra cap did but we still get our classic CA.

As a huge doom fan, allow me to explain his single tear in the 9/11 comic as I see it. It was in sorrow and rage. Doom saw only senseless pain and destruction just because a group hated a nation. Dooms feud is with the heros, and he only seems to kill or harm on an individual scale, keeping any excess damage to a minimum. To him, it was senseless violence, and a tragedy. He showed up to help, because he saw it as not only just, but the right thing to do as King of Latveria. Doom has a heart, as black as it is, it is there. To deny it strips him of his humanity and is wrong.
@marystone860

I agree with you! I'm a big fan of Doctor Doom, also Magneto! Magneto was there because he knows all to well what senseless hate towards someone else or a entire country can turn into! Doc. Ock and Kingpin was also there. There are things even they won't stand for or tolerate! I know this one is a little off-topic, but I loved it when the Joker punched out the Red Skull! I think you missed the point on Spider-Man's 9/11 memorial. I brought that issue & was extremely touched by it. And if you look back at the responses at the time, a lot of people were as well. Did it go "too far" in certain bits? Yeah, you can make the argument the crying Doom was uncharacteristic, but he never destroyed a city in the Marvel U. But the other baddies? Magneto is a survivor of the Holocaust. Fisk may be a gang boss, but he'd never DREAM of going this far. And so what if Doom cried? He's not allowed to be shattered in the sheer horror of World Trade Center Plaza being destroyed & countless lives lost in the process? I think you should rethink this comic book moment. Marvel, as you said, IS NYC. It simply could not allow such a horrible event go unmemoeialized.

6:36 tbh i thought doom's emotion showing did the complete opposite to what you described. victor von doom doesn't want power/world domination because of his greed, or desire to conquer/kill others who stand in his way. he wants to rule because he truly believes it's the only way that humanity can survive and prosper in the future. this vision of his is backed up by the numerous alternate futures of humanity he's glanced at through his sorcery/magic, and the only "good" ones he's seen are the ones in which he rules over the planet, governing a society free of crime, hunger, war, and plague. in the end, doom doesn't want to destroy human civilization by conquering it; he thinks the only way he can _save_ it is by his ruling over it. the way i see it, the ruthless and mindless slaughter of hundreds of his own kind by al-qaeda sickens him, because there are less people that he can "save."

I'm a bit baffled by Marvel's 9/11 tribute showing up here. I didn't think it was great, but I've never heard of it as a hated effort.

I wish whatCulture comics explains Marvel/DC universe characters,relationships, origin, powers in a Simple Chart bcoz if u try to summarize these comics it becomes A Total Chaos loads of confusion at every level and many a times contrary to their existing or past narrative....what do you say guys...

I know we don't talk about it, but Wanda and Pietro Ultimato relationship should be #1 - it was just wtf gross nonsense. I'd put the Wanda and Pietro are no longer mutants in the list too. I loathe that and will never accept it.

Wow well my favorite comic book of all time which is the worst thing that ever happened in the history of comic books the death of Gwen Stacy which I have amazing Spiderman 121 9.8 that should have never happened the only comic book that made me cry. I am so glad Gwen Stacy is still relevant because edge of spider verse 29.8 which is only a few years old is worth more than $1500 I have two copies of that signed by artist and writer. I had to sell a lot of my comic books because I’m never going back to work I was a bartender and restaurant manager the only thing I do is go to Yankee Stadium but it’s never a good time to sell your comic books but you can’t take those to your grave. I sold most of my good books but I still have amazing Spiderman 122 9.8 amazing Spiderman 16.5 amazing fantasy 15 6.0 amazing fantasy 15 8.0 restored no trimming superman 15.0 restored no trimming Batman 15.0 restored X-Men 17.0 journey into mystery 83 6.0 tales of suspense 39 8.5 fantastic 448 9.6 Batman adventures 12 9.8 signature series there are only 41 copies signed by Bruce Tim the creator. I still have my EC file copy the first appearance of the vault keeper war against crime 10 9.8 I still have all of these books and I sold a lot of great books.🙄🙄🙄

I'm surprised there was no mention of Dr Jordan Peterson being portrayed as Red Skull. A real life humanitarian, psychologist, freshly recovered from a fatal illness, and Jewish man was portrayed in the latest Captain America novels as Red Skull. A Jewish psychologist who almost died...being portrayed as a super nazi due to controversial views. Deserves a mention on this list. Also look up on KZbin Jordan Peterson red Skull memes, shit's funny even if you don't know who Dr Peterson is.

You forgot to mention One more day where Marvel basically rebooted Spider-man's story just because they didn't want to develop the character, they went too far for that. PS: The only thing i didn't like about Goliath being killed by clone Thor was the fact they didn't make enough conflict between Reed/Stark and Thor (they literally cloned a god so you suppose to sh** in your pants if you see him again) they should've make a deeper conflict instead of giving amnesia to Tony (that was lame as can be).

Disney, not Marvel, probably had a bigger hand in cancelling X-Men and F4. If you can't buy it back, purge with fire and salt the earth, then buy the company that owns it.

I’m going into this list and assuming this is gonna either be 99.99% Ultimates comics, or it’s gonna completely exclude ultimates because otherwise it’d just be a list of Ultimates comics

Well, I just want to change the order, in my point of view, killing the "X MEN" are the worst decisions Marvel made in his history ! This is THE moment they lost me, I never bought another comics after that ....

This is another example of when you should just ignore content rather than talking about how bad it is. X-Force died in the 90's. It was never good, but the reboots were all garbage piled on trash. This is coming from an X-force fan. I still have issues #1-30 and the stupid trading cards and toys.
