I think the normal disagreement is changing a character into something they are not, we know the dude is a straight arrow(See how he misses Peggy Carter and such in MCU). Nazi Cap/Hydra cap is hard to swallow, its new but from readers perspective it was seen as thats who he is and thats the norm and never going back. People would hate that. I think a more pallatable idea is bringing a different universe one in to basically do roughly the same thing Hydra cap did but we still get our classic CA.

As a huge doom fan, allow me to explain his single tear in the 9/11 comic as I see it. It was in sorrow and rage. Doom saw only senseless pain and destruction just because a group hated a nation. Dooms feud is with the heros, and he only seems to kill or harm on an individual scale, keeping any excess damage to a minimum. To him, it was senseless violence, and a tragedy. He showed up to help, because he saw it as not only just, but the right thing to do as King of Latveria. Doom has a heart, as black as it is, it is there. To deny it strips him of his humanity and is wrong.

Did it go "too far" in certain bits? Yeah, you can make the argument the crying Doom was uncharacteristic, but he never destroyed a city in the Marvel U. But the other baddies? Magneto is a survivor of the Holocaust. Fisk may be a gang boss, but he'd never DREAM of going this far. And so what if Doom cried? He's not allowed to be shattered in the sheer horror of World Trade Center Plaza being destroyed & countless lives lost in the process? I think you should rethink this comic book moment. Marvel, as you said, IS NYC. It simply could not allow such a horrible event go unmemoeialized.

6:36 tbh i thought doom's emotion showing did the complete opposite to what you described. victor von doom doesn't want power/world domination because of his greed, or desire to conquer/kill others who stand in his way. he wants to rule because he truly believes it's the only way that humanity can survive and prosper in the future. this vision of his is backed up by the numerous alternate futures of humanity he's glanced at through his sorcery/magic, and the only "good" ones he's seen are the ones in which he rules over the planet, governing a society free of crime, hunger, war, and plague. in the end, doom doesn't want to destroy human civilization by conquering it; he thinks the only way he can _save_ it is by his ruling over it. the way i see it, the ruthless and mindless slaughter of hundreds of his own kind by al-qaeda sickens him, because there are less people that he can "save."

Well, I just want to change the order, in my point of view, killing the "X MEN" are the worst decisions Marvel made in his history ! This is THE moment they lost me, I never bought another comics after that ....

This is another example of when you should just ignore content rather than talking about how bad it is. X-Force died in the 90's. It was never good, but the reboots were all garbage piled on trash. This is coming from an X-force fan. I still have issues #1-30 and the stupid trading cards and toys.

I thought he looks like Dr. Strange's replacement " Paradox " but no.

That's Nightwatch, he's a very obscure 90s antihero in Maximum Carnage storyline.
