Kieliszkowski is my favorite strongman, even though the deadlift as his biggest weakness has made him unable to win the WSM. His explosiveness is unreal... He is so awesome in so many different events, such as truck pulls and yokes and dumbells. My favorite moment of his carreer is with the tombstone in ASC. Even Hafthor struggled to lap the stone and Kieliszkowski simply put it in his shoulder again and again. Thanks a lot for this content, Loz. And say hi to auntie Liz! Stay strong!
@keithdefreitas339912 сағат бұрын
Notice most of his impressive lifts were pre 2020, if it wasn’t for injuries he would have won WSM already for sure. Good thing is since he started so young he is only 31 so he still has some good years ahead of him for Strongman.

When he's good at something... he's the best 👌

There was a video somewhere of Martins telling him not to do the stones at WUS that he had nothing to prove to anyone and not hurt himself worse. His response was something like, "but I must win." That pretty much sums up the guys attitude in a single short clip. If I could gift any guy a major title, I'd give Mateusz an Arnold. It almost doesn't seem right that he's never won one with all the awesome performances he had there. It was a cosmic injustice that he got hurt leading up to the one year there wasn't a deadlift; the guy has to feel a bit cursed.

Mateusz is the most astounding strongman in history IMO. His list of amazing feats blows everyone else out of the water. (once again IMO) I believe he is by far and away the greatest strongman to never win Arnolds or WSM. With Mitch in the mix........I sadly think that will be Mateusz's legacy. One event stops him from being generally #1 or top three in every other single event. Mitch is more well rounded without being shocking........and has a specialty in Kieliszkowski's only deficit. It's sad. That being said it does not affect my opinion of the athlete himself. Hafthor barely staved him off in Hafthors most dominant year. (just my opinion) I am not Polish either. Something about the guy is so damn extraordinary.......even in a sport of extraordinary athletes. He stands out from everyone else for a few reasons, even outside of his accomplishments.

Kielsz revolutionized the sport, he was the first to prove you don’t need to be heavy to keep up statically and if you’re lighter you can be much faster on moving events

@Adamrawlifting123 You've never seen a (career) postmortem in your life, have you? Besides, Mateusz has collected more injuries than titles at this point, so this might well serve as a postmortem anyway.
@dontyouworryaboutit_11 сағат бұрын
genuine question - can you be considered a great of the sport when you suck so incredibly bad (deadlift) at one of the fundamentals of the sport?
@BigLozOfficial11 сағат бұрын
We have had WSM winners that sucked at the deadlift. And to be fair Mateusz has deadlifted 420kg at his best, but injuries have caused bigger issues recently
@Fortress33310 сағат бұрын
If only his deadlift was a bit stronger... Now there's Hooper, who's sort of like Mateusz, but Hooper's deadlift is amazing. A prime Mateusz versus a prime Hooper would be something to behold, though. Incredible speed on the yoke, farmer's walk (a run in the case of these two), and incredible strength on the overhead, yet also amazing arm over arm and pulling heavy stuff. Mateusz would beat Hooper on stones, but maybe not on a stone carry. Both are incredible on loading. Now with the injuries of the Polish Terminator, it's not likely he's going to blitz through comps, but he still might push Hooper, who wouldn't be worried too much as long as there's a deadlift in there too.
