Comparisons in this sport are meaningless for most people. My 80kg snatch seemed like the highest mountain for me, even though most weightlifters would find that very pedestrian. But there are probably only a few thousand people in America at my weight and age (90 kg, 44yo) that can snatch 80kg. There are probably only a few hundred people worldwide that can lift what Nate Cerwinske is capable of. There are only a few dozen Olympic caliber athletes at any weight. And there is only ONE Karlos Nasar.

Such a cool video. Stuff like this really gives the lifters character. And humanises them after seeing all their crazy best training lifts in social media. Karlos might look like a scary mob henchman, but really he seems like such a chill and wholesome dude. Seems to really love weightlifting and competing. Great production, so much electricity in the video. And your lifter is so good too, it's not fair to say he's in the horizon of what's maybe possible for us mere mortals. He's far past most amateur and recreational lifters. It took me a while to understand that even Sika Strength guys are way way above average, that a normal person will never see numbers close to theirs. This really gives some sort of yard stick. That there's multiple levels of good and great, beyond average dreams.
