I remember hearing about the Heart Attack Grill. The worst I have experienced in a restaurant was partially my fault. I was at dinner with my parents and my 4 month old daughter and my husband. I was telling some story and flailing my arms around and hit the waitress as she was coming to our table with our hot soup and some of it wound up splashing on my daughter's arm. Fortunately, it was not as hot as it could have been and everyone reacted very quickly and we got her wiped off and cooled down with ice water. She only had a slight reddening on her arm. I felt so bad for her and so embarrassed. But it did teach me to rein in my story telling antics. The worst experience I have had with take out food was food poisoning from crab cakes up in NYC. Still can't eat them 40 years later.

The snake thing happened where I live, maybe the same story maybe not but the exact thing happened here. There were apartments above the bar/restaurant and the owner of the snake(old friend of mine, an idiot) neglected it and it was starving. So the python broke out of its cage and went in the walls. It eventually fell through the ceiling during breakfast. It was the talk of the area for a long time and still gets brought up as a joke. Happened a few years ago and yes the snake was okay and rehomed!

The snake was someone's escaped pet. I'd bet on someone living in an apartment above the restaurant. The snake disappeared because someone recaptured it. I've gotten food poisoning in restaurants three times: In a KFC, an Arbys, and a small Mexican resturant. The last time I purchased food from a restaurant was about 8 years ago (that was the Mexican restaurant). Although a bunch of Foster Farms chicken was contaminated with salmonella, and I managed to be one of those who bought some. It just is what it is, but food prepared by non-cooks is an unacceptable risk.
@friedkinidiot24203 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The snake came from an above apartment. The pet owner was neglecting the snake and so it escaped because it was starving. And it was indeed a python

The surprised, concerned or curious emphasis on people that had heart attacks while or some time after visiting the Heart Attack Grille made me think about someone trying to get random people to stop and be fascinated by a rock. The narrator is taking, like "it's so crazy that these people who went here all the time and were rather unhealthy in the first place had heart attacks! Now let's pretend heart attacks aren't and haven't been one of the top causes of death in America for a while..." They openly offer and apply a lot of things that are the least heart healthy options in existence.

I once had a take away from our local Chinese, and after a few mouthfuls and a closer inspection of the rice discovered it had maggots in it. I was scarred for life also considering they are my phobia. They also poisoned someone with cleaning chemicals once. It now has been taken over by new owners, my family also had food poisoning from the local chippy and an Indian, we all could not get of the toilet from the Indian. The Chinese was the icing on the cake for me tho, I won’t have take away again but prefer to cook my own food so I know what’s going in it. Apart from the odd mcds tho.
