I’ve been doing the one in two out. Also when it comes to clothing, if you see something you like at the store ask yourself if you’re willing to part with two of the same item at home.

My main barrier to minimalism is my clutterbug husband. He loves having many things around him, never gets rid of a book, keeps every broken bit of computer equipment. Nor does he do any housework, so I have the job of cleaning all the pictures that fill our walls even though I would rather have bare walls. I just do my best. I gave him one entire floor of the house and I never go up there any more - I keep 'my' areas as tidy as I can, replaced all the furniture with lightweight pieces that I can move, etc, and I corral the mess into trays and boxes, so at least it's contained.

There were so many helpful tips in this video. Being intentional about what we do on a daily basis as well as focusing on function have been such important concepts for me. I have been decluttering my house for about a year. My home has become so much more “relaxing” and easy to clean, but it is a continual process. Fortunately, decluttering is a compounding task and every time you do it, it becomes easier! Thank you for your fabulous videos❤

I’m 51 years old and I’m so so stressed by the junk feeling all the space in the house. I definitely need help. Suffering from scarcity and worrying about tomorrow I might need it. I feel like I’m leaving as if I’m dead 😢because of the junk I’ve collected over the years. I’m talking from clothes that I have when I was 20 years , dishes, furniture and my garden with pot plants it’s so full and battle to walk. I need a break though 🙏

Hi! My mom is 61 and she’s in exactly the same situation. Her house is like a museum of vintage stuff 😅 she could show a sweater she was wearing when she was 17) or a piece of fabric she wanted to use to sew a dress for me when I was 5 (I’m 40 btw😁). When she moved from her old home to a new one, she just relocated all of the junk. Over the last few years she’s made small steps towards decluttering and simplifying. Wishing u all the best in your journey 🙏

I have been decluttering since June , I gave away things I never thought I would. I have started fall cleaning and it is going a lot easier . I actually have started enjoying housework for the first time in 68 years I also have the joy of knowing that the items I parted with will be enjoyed by someone else.I never thought I would enjoy empty space in my house.

Hi Becky! I have a tough question. I am torn between minimalism and interior design (which takes much more things in the home). I don’t want extra clutter, I want my home to be simple and functional, but yet not too simple (like sterile). I want it to be aesthetically beautiful and showing my personality. Any tips?

Yes i am a nurse and i now have 1 good pen that i love…so when someone borrows it i am sure to get it back…where when i had a bunch of pens, i never kept track of them. Yes i have one pair of scissors in different rooms i use them… i have a pair hanging inside a kitchen cabinet that i use for food and cooking , i have one pair hanging on a hook hanging by my washing machine to cut plastic tags and other tags and random strings. I use these pairs all the time but when I’m done , i hang back up on these hooks.

Hi I have been on my minimalist journey for a while now. I am also interested in sharing my progress and advice. I love your simple videos and was wondering if you can please share any advice on the program you use for creating your content / videos. In particular with the layout of being able to add words onto your video and creating a picture title to your video. Thank you so much!

I love this video! I have watched it three times now. Please tell me about your couch. Who is the maker? And anything else that can help me find something similar, if not the same one. It is the perfect blend of all that I desire in one for myself. Now about pens. I have a pen by pilot called the Dr. Grip. It has four colors and is refillable. It’s a little thicker ( easier on my arthritic hands) with a gel like cushion grip. I love it and it reduces the need for multiple pens for color coding. One pen many uses. Thank you so much for your content. I enjoy listening to your calm way of speaking and your natural minimal decor. Thank you!

I think it's "ee-kee-gi" but I'm not japanese😂 i like your tipps and also the amount of things you keep in your space is a nice inspiration because i think i keep similar amounts per squaremeter ( i only have about 11 sqm though so it's a bit more crowded than i would like)
