I feel like this more grounded meta is much better for builds, but in zero build having mobility is more important. I can live without the travel halfway across the map items, like the ODM and webshooters, on the other hand items like the kinetic blade and shockwaves make ZB more enjoyable.

You're right jake, i hadnt played with the combat when it was first in the game. but i played with it a bunch during creative matches, the combat aim assist is almost nonexistent, even close range with hip fire. its horrible but its still a decent weapon.

I'm having fun with this season so far, after a learning curve. Used 'EvolveJake' for my battle pass buy. I'm hanging out in the jungle for a good chunk of the game (lots of mobility built into the environment), carrying bunkers. Loving the drum shotty and actually the thermal DMR to just be able to see faster. Only played solo zero build so far, but the splash plants in the jungle are team heals. Also, throw a teammate an extra heal if they need it.

My theory is they intended to carry the katana over to this season but didn't due to last season's bug and therefore didn't. In some quests (very minor spoiler for a few quests) they say they are mining kinetic ore for some types of weapons. I think that the boomerang through the season will receive some of this "ore" and it turns into mobility. Primary and secondary fire both explode it. Makes sense one of those becomes the teleport option if that's the case. And why would Epic put all the Katana spawns/temples and the dragon in Mega (only reachable by Katana at start of season) then just drop the Katanas for good. And have NO mobility. Every season since like Chapter 3 has had mobility. I think they just fudged up the Katana and are riding no mobility until they can put it in like they planned (boomerang or perhaps something else). I think many people think it was intentional to have no mobility. I don't think that's the case at all. Just an oopsie.

Yeah, unlike everyone else I thought I was being a genius and everyone was using the boomerang wrong, so when I finally got on and tried it I threw it at the ground the see if it would bounce me and to my amazement it didn't and 😢. Anyways yeah definitely agree with you, and just wanted to share my experience and thoughts about the boomerang.

Maybe it was a bug, but it seems like storm has changed. I was rotating with my trio while in storm (2 tick), but while I was using a Medkit I just instant died when I was still over 20 hp. Don’t know if it somehow jumped to a 10 or 20 tick, or if it was storm sickness and I just didn’t receive any warning.

It happened for my first win of the season ! I won and, not knowing what happened to my opponent, I checked the replay. He was behind me but the storm started moving and on the first second he spent it in, storm sickness came and he went from 100 to 0 health ... -_-

Yep had that happen to me aswell went to take a slurp juice went from 29 health to 0. I think storm sickness hits after you have lost a certain amount of health in storm. So if you are in 1 or 2 tick storms looting up eventually it gets to a certain point and it drops you. Odd but not sure if bug or not.

Got my first win and crown win of this season today. Drum shotgun helped with both but also using vehicles for mobility. You can fairly quickly get to a fight and third party or escape a poor position. Lack of mobility works both ways though. If you can get a quick kill you're less likely to be third partied by someone coming in. I'm currently not particularly playing to win but exploring all the map to get everything in cache. Right now any area I've not previously visited is jerky and laggy as hell, even those from last season. This seems to be fixed after a few visits though.

You’re so right about the bunkers, I won a match because I carried them with me. 😊 I really like that fish that gives you X-ray vision, it’s a decent alternative if you don’t have the DMr or the skill.

Vaults+Rift in the game make sure I won't be playing that often at all. Just logged in to play solos, killed few people, rotated to vault area, and one player was hiding in the building while i was opening the vault and sprayed me while I had augment window open. Instantly closed the game. No thank you.

Definitely people need to do more ghost recon on their strat and be payient. They want sniping and vine battles and stuff. mobility will come back in a few weeks people should work on their mid range skills and jungle warfare. I was easily ghosting people with canopy and cover. 😂

Bro Fortnite needs to calm down with those late game circle pulls. They still think we have mobility. I spend most of my late game running and getting shot in the back rather than fighting. This season launch has been a massive letdown..... I have no clue what to do with my loadout..... Red eye and heavy sniper are the cornerstone of my game, and i'm pretty lethal with both, but i used combat shotty last season to compensate that, since it had decent range and didnt need follow-up weapon..... This season i have absolutely nothing.... Pump is great but then i need smg and i have no room for port a bunkers
