Do you teach lessons because I lived in Denver for ten years and driving in snow is very scary for me.

Unfortunately I’m a full time railroader and that is what pays my bills. However, one day I hope to offer guided offroad trips as well as skiing guiding. I could offer snow driving instruction at that time, BUT I believe you have it. Next snow storm, go practice in a snowy parking lot.

Hey there, I’m from Houston Tx and me and my family are planning to go to frisco for the week of Christmas. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

That’s awesome! Be sure to check the weather and road conditions before heading out!

OK, then you might know…. I don’t do well with the altitude.. they say driving instead of flying might help. but I can’t figure out where the altitude starts ,,,coming from Nevada.

Nevada near Vegas is around 2000ft, through Utah you’ll gain 2-3k in elevation, in Colorado, you’ll gain a lot of elevation past Grand Junction. Drink lots of water, but the gradual increase while driving may help. Good luck!

Can you explain downshifting on I70 descents? I drive an automatic and have never downshifted but don't want to wear out my brakes, especially driving in snow on the descents. Can you downshift while driving on the highway, and do you suggest just going down one from D?

You’re likely fine with what the automatic does in D. This is more of a manual driver thing.

Where I’m from you don’t accelerate or brake on a bridge with ice. Or make sharp movements of the steering wheel.

Definitely!

or do any of that on a regular road, either.... ;)

I have to dri e to co from utah this winter to look at houses and I am terrified. Can u give me some advice?
@coloradoplankersАй бұрын
This video is mostly what I do that works. CO does take care of the roads so watch the weather and take your time!

Are you for hire?

Winter is slower for me, but I have so much editing to do for the offroad channel (and filming/editing vids for this channel) as well as doing my normal job. It’s pretty tough for me to get time to do other things at this time, but I think you have it! Just go in good conditions and you’ll be fine!

??????.....rules of the road apply to ALL drivers....in every state.....colorado is not special or different.....left lane is considered the HAMMER lane....😮
@coloradoplankersАй бұрын
Not all states enforce this like Colorado does. It’s that simple.
