This is a great guide for Comic Con London ngl, thank you so much! The advice about the shops and cash machines are definitely true and Comic Village is one of the best parts. I'll see y'all there (I'm going as Princess Zelda)

i got to see alot more of expo even half of day i was stuck underground due expo disable tolets were havin issue on saterday but got see norlan north and troy baker thx staff jumping in the next in line so nice to meet them plus got some figures a long the way

I never been to the London Comic Con, costs tend to be too high for me to travel to London then there before even think of how much I likely spend there :p I do go to the Birmingham Comic Con every year though as thats local for me. Is there any much difference between London and Birmingham Comic Cons? Besides London I assume is likely bigger? This year be the first time I go to Comic Con alone :)

Yes the costs can add up when you go to London, I think some people save up for ages, especially if they need accommodation. London is bigger than Birmingham, and tends to have more anime/Japanese stalls - because Birmingham was originally the Memorabilia show, it has more stalls with collectibles, film merch, etc than London.

Hi there this may seem like a silly question, but do you have to buy a ticket in order to stay in the courtyard/outside area of the building? I was hoping to buy a ticket to do my shopping and meeting celebrities one day, and then just socialise and cosplay outside the next day. Thank you!

TheFrenchStick1 I think anyone can turn up and hang out outside ExCel, you just need a ticket to go inside the building.

I've never been to comic con before as I could never afford to go to it. Now that I have a job I will be able to go to it next year hopefully. I have one question about the celeb photo sessions. Do you pay on the day for those and can you do any pose you want with them? Also, what kinds of stuff are sold on the stalls in the hall? I don't know if I will dress up yet for it when I go as I wouldn't know who to dress up as

Ah you will love it! You can book photo sessions online about a month before the show. They're also available on the day if they're not sold out already. There are so many different stalls selling all kinds of nerdy stuff: anime merch, books, comics, cosplay stuff, posters, Japanese sweets, cute plushies, cosplay swords, wigs, cakes, DVDs, board games, t-shirts - and my stall Cakes with Faces! :-) You can see what it's like in my video from last time: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIqtpWxrapdrqLc

are there talks and panels at the event? if yes how do you get to attend these? lastly, what is the ideal amount of money to bring to the event would you say? thanks for all your help, just don't want to be unprepared for when i eventually attend the event

BookLoverKerrie Yes there are talks & panels, in several theatres. They're announced nearer the time; you can find the schedule on the MCM website, and in the show guide. You can just turn up to them on the day, you don't need tickets or anything. As for how much money, that's up to you & how much you've saved up! There are plenty of things to buy so if you have a budget be careful as you might want to get everything! :-)

No there's no extra charge for talks :-) To give you an idea of prices... figures are around £30 upwards, t-shirts £15, indie comics in the Comic Village £3, small plushies up to £10, large plush & alpacas £30... hope that helps! Some stalls charge slightly more than online, some less. At my stall I have the prices slightly lower than on my website & special deals for the show! ;-)

I'm going to be going to this October's London Comic Con, this will be my first one yet and I want to make the most out of it! I can go either Saturday, after 1PM (sad) or Sunday with an early bird... which of the two would you recommend? Is Sunday too slow? Saturday too busy? Opinions plz? :)

Ah you'll have an amazing time! :-) Personally I'd go on Sunday - it's usually less crowded than Saturday but still busy and certainly not slow! :-) You'll see lots of cosplayers and all the same stalls will be there - just remember to buy things when you see them in case they sell out by the end of the weekend!
