Awesome. I came from a not so nice childhood too. My mom to this days is still a horrid woman and my dad is a no show for almost everything with an excuse and all. (Today is my baby's first birthday and he still hasn't seen her or what she looks like, but he thinks he deserves best dad/granddad award) but my first and only baby is my life. She will not be spoiled but she is loved very much. She will know she is loved. Thank god my husbands family is amazing and so supportive of everything!!! I love them both and they definitely do the grandparent spoil thing. Congrats, i hope you have a great pregnancy and that when the time come everything goes well!!!

yumih3art well I may still be young myself, but I have the most amazing parents, the one thing I have to tell you though, some things are true like the "I love you" and you should always listen, and if your child is crying when they are older, don't tell them to stop crying, ask them what is bothering them instead, and promise them you won't overreact. But this video is not 50% accurate, every child is different, this might be the opinion of 1 or 2 children, but that isn't enough. Congratulations, and hope you love your daughter like I love my mom ❤️

yumih3art, I reckon your life is a mess since you're not dutiful to your parents, I'm sure of that. There's this theory I came up with (Putting Theory) although it's derived from my own understanding of some of the Sunnah of our beloved Muhammad the final messenger: "If you put happiness in the heart of your father you will be rewarded with health and brightness in your heart (faith, knowledge, etc) If you put happiness in the heart of your mother, life will be a joyful bliss and almost everything else; and if you put happiness in both of them Allah will be pleased with you, and that's the ultimate blessing." That's the status the kinship has in the sight of Allah, a man's mother and father are the closest of kinship to him, there are some records from Muhammad peace be upon him that he taught us from the perks of being good to your relatives is blessing from Allah in your wealth and days/life. Severing ties with even not so close kinship destroys a man's life, wealth, and faith.

Just imagine if your parents showed you "how to be a perfect daughter" video, how would you feel? of course you would feel that you failed at being a good daughter. your parents would feel the same. Just imagine of all the things they gave you even though sometimes maybe not what you wanted , they send you to school so that you can be independent, they buy you food , water everything you basically need to survive , so please do a favour and don't show them this video and don't make them sad after all we are all human beings we can never be perfect. if they have done something unintentionally but it hurt you a lot , sit together and express your sadness *politely* but if they hurt you intentionally and physically beyond your capacity to handle then you shouldn't follow the above and report to an authority as soon as possible.

There comes a point in life where you can't take anything nice people may say or give to you. In my life, people who then u had assumed were my "friends" had always been putting me down, saying that they were better than I was. At first, you know, it would have been ok if my parents had cared. Whenever I would tell my parents about any of these things, they would *yell at me*, telling me i shouldn't listen to them, which sounds good, but to a nine year old it sounds like they hate you. Then 6th grade happened. People went through "the phase" where kids would normally be angry at everything, but I was the exact opposite. I, in July of the year before 6th grade, I realised that all the things that people, including my entire family, were saying to me made me very very self aware. I was already a chubby kid, so this ruined me. So I decided to see if "Child Depression" existed. It did and still does. So I was doubtful at first because I did match the signs of child depression, but not of major depression. Then, as the year went by, I started to match about 4 more signs of major depression. At this point, I had not been coming out of my room from nonstop crying, and at that point, my parents actually started to notice that I was abnormally sad. Then, very soon afterwards, I tried to kill myself. Yeah, I was 11 years old. And, well, skip about a year or two to where I am now, an asocial shy fat self aware depressed 13 year old whom constantly tries to kill himself. Also, I have matched every single symptom of *Major depression*. And everyone I know still hate me and say how much better they are than me. Plus nobody will read this, so, I guess that's 15 minutes of my day wasted. If you read this far, god bless you. You are a fantastic person, and I honestly hope with all my heart that you won't live this life, and if you did, god bless you, because you are better than me.

I know this is really terrible to say, but I know as long as my dad lives I have no chance to pursuit my passion. I have things I want to learn, but to him going into medical field is the priority. I'm going to have debt from learning stuff I don't care about. I genuinely hate medicine with a passion because of how my dad pushed me to it. He routinely says, "I spent money and raised you for 18 years, what makes you think you have a choice?" I'm currently in the process of getting into med school, and everyday I'm praying that something could happen to change this... anything.

That "say it differently" one is actually something we can discipline. (I'm 13 btw) Even though it can be rude sometimes if we treat the kid with the right amount of discipline, they can still have free will but be told how they will survive when they grow up.
