Wear walking shoes with socks - one of my friends ruined her vacation because she didn’t wanna wear socks. the blisters killed a vacation. Thanks for taking the time to make your videos. Enjoy them very much.

Don't forget the Daybed at the Bellagio pool. You spend $150ish, if memory serves correct, for a queen size bed next to a pool. It comes with a storage locker (the other storage lockers are near the restrooms), umbrella, food and drink service, but the best thing is that the $150 goes towards your food and drinks. So if you are planning a pool day, you will spend at least that amount to feed yourself throughout the day. When I was there, it was $45 for an ice bucket of 5 beers. Easily the best money I spent when I was there.

In the shopping areas, do NOT take the face cream samples the kiosk employee tries to hand you. Then they compliment you, say your hair is amazing, your makeup is amazing, your clothes are adorable, your jewelry is the prettiest, then they'll say oh I have another sample. Then they'll try to get you to sit so they can apply a cream to your face. They're pretty scary when you say no and walk away, because they're pissed off that you've wasted their time. Good tips. An alternative to getting a table at a night club is doing a party bus instead. It’s much cheaper (about $40-50 per person and includes drinks in the bus!). You also get to go to more than one club (at least 2-4) instead of being stuck in just one. Don’t buy drinks at the clubs, big waste of money. $15-20 for a beer and more for liquor.

We booked a fancy suite once - never again. You don’t go to Vegas to stay in your room, you go to see the city and hit your room just to sleep. We find something along the Deuce route, often Circus Circus, where it’s stupid cheap, and get a weekly bus pass. It’ll take you just about anywhere in town. Our last trip was seven nights from Calgary Canada, room and flight included for $398 each (two years ago). Spend your money out and about town, not on a room that you’re barely in. My husband is the king of avoiding annoying sales people. When the face cream/perfume people harass him in the mall he says “no thanks, I’ve already eaten” and they never know how to respond! :)

People will be selling bottled water out of ice coolers on the pedway bridges that cross Las Vegas Blvd. They're sitting in ice and look SO refreshing when it is 110 F out and you're dying of thirst. I read somewhere to never do this, as some of the more unscrupulous folks will get empties out of the garbage and fill them up from bathroom faucets and then pack them in ice. So for the seller, it's pure profit. If you must, make sure the seal on the bottle isn't broken (always good advice).

1. Don't even think about putting money in the airport slot machines. Or any slot machine for that matter. 2. On the way to your hotel, stop at a liquor store and buy your favorite booze. I always have a flask on me. 3. See at least one show per day. Or two. The entertainment is the best in the world. 4. If you are offered a room (comp) at a different hotel, it means they want you bad. Take the room. It will always be an upgrade (suite at least), plus they will throw in a meal or two at their best restaurants, if you ask. Their goal is your time in their casino. Period. 5. Never leave a hot table until it cools off. Then run like hell. Hot streaks are few and far between. 6. When you hit a streak, put some green or black chips in your pocket as they pay out. If you stack them, you'll be tempted to count them. Big mistake on day 1 of a 4 day stay. It's always fun to find several high denomination chips in your pocket back at the hotel. I never cash out till the last day. 7. If blackjack is your game, don't play at full tables. You need to play at least two hands per deal. If that means going to a higher limit table, then do it. Otherwise you aren't getting the odds needed to beat the house. Leave a table that has stupid players, even if the dealer is centerfold material. They screw up the count and therefore your odds. 8. Learn craps. All of it. Thoroughly. It's the only game with almost even odds when played properly. Don't be shy with your bets, it will cost you. The action is wildly fast and the most fun of all gambling games. 9. Never play slots or roulette. Ever. Slot machines built the hotel you are staying at. Roulette is just burning your money in a hurry, every time. 10. Be flexible and spontaneous. Have sex at any hour of they day or night. You will be more relaxed and won't feel like you're missing something. And hotel sex is one of the 5 best kind you can have. Most rooms have a jacuzzi for just this reason. 11. Sleep is highly overrated. Sleep on the plane trip back or when you get home. You can have 2 weeks of fun in 4 days. Easy. 12. Don't go to any outdoor concerts. 13. Use the safe at the front desk instead of the one in your room. Trust me on this one.

Glad you brought up the ATMs. Depending on where you are, fees range anywhere from 4.99 to 10.99. And then there's what your bank charges. Should also mention there is a LOT of walking involved. Even if you know exactly where you are going. Have been to Vegas maybe 14 of the last 19 years, and the first thing I do is buy a bus pass. 3 days for around $20. Great work! Can't wait to get back.

That's a great idea then I go to the Pawn Shop and buy Bicycle and a pad lock 🔐 you wouldn't have to walk at all.

Uber is cheapest, but Limo is the way to go if you’re with a few people and you want the VIP experience. However, don’t pre-book it. Limos are lined up when you leave the airport; walk to a driver (third one in line) and offer $80 cash and advise what you want - i.e. your hotel/casino and liquor store stop. They are happy accept because they pocket the cash (I assume). I’ve done this the last 10 trips to Vegas and it beats paying $15 a person for a shuttle with multiple stops that takes forever to get you to your destination. Make sure to TIP.. Vegas service workers talk and you will save in the long run.

Vegas is spendy and brilliant at marketing to make things....rooms, shows, meals, winning...sound like a great deal! You can set a budget, but even fast food on the strip costs more than a few blocks off. I agree with so many of your tips! We were locals for years and now visit to see friends and avoid the strip, but even local casino hotels (i.e. Station casinos, South Point, etc.) charge resort fees! If you plan on staying on the strip the whole time....unless you are there to party and gamble....you are missing out! Vegas has great nature areas, Hoover Dam, and oddball locations that make the city unique! The Mob Museum, Pinball Museum, and more! If you do stay on the strip and don't plan on leaving it, no way would I rent a car for the cost of parking! Although they smell like piss, the Deuce bus is nice. Monorail blows as it is a long walk to the actual casino areas you want to be in! Know where you're at....if hotels by each other are owned by the same company, they may be connected by a walking mall, free monorail, etc.! Staying at Mandalay Bay and want to get to Caesars Palace without all the walking? Tram to Excalibur and cross the street to New York, New York. Get on a tram there to Bellagio. Walk through Bellagio in the air as it is worth seeing and exit onto Flamingo through their shops...c oss the street and all of a sudden you are at Ceasars! Sure there is walking...but you save thousands of steps! Or as she says...spend the money and UBER! Oh yeah, The Strip takes forever....ask your driver to take Industrial running along I-15! Locals use it and cut traveling from one end to the other at night by an hour! No joke!

Flamingo has a cool garden area to check out. And learn the free tram system. It's free from Mandalay to Belagio. Never try to walk the strip. That's crazy.
@robloxkingboss11353 жыл бұрын
What tram is free? You talking about the monorail?
@pamelabrown72043 жыл бұрын
@@robloxkingboss1135 No, Monorail runs from Sahara to the strip. The free tram is a totally different system, and IS FREE, but only connects a couple of the southern most properties, as stated. The Monorail does cost something, but even if you are asked to disembark the car, if you stay in the station you can keep riding, seeing the sights, for the same ticket as long as you like. I'm a Vegas resident (aka Local) and my husband and I would do this once a month or so, just for fun.

BONUS TIP: If you say you work for either RCI or Interval International and that you already get free/discounted resort stays as an employee then the timeshare people will back off. RCI and II are timeshare exchange programs (not timeshares) and the timeshare worker will probably know one or the other.

Love your videos! The REAL reason to use a players card when you gamble, is to reduce your tax debt if you hit a taxable jackpot over $1200. The card tracks what you spend, and offsets what you lose against any taxable wins, reducing the amount you owe at tax time. The comps and discounts are great too. Great videos!
@Omikoshi784 жыл бұрын
You know this guide is legit when it starts with “skip the cab” lol. The longest running con in Vegas is the cab asking you “fast way or long way?”. Both are wrong and will cost 2x what it should. The right answer is “short way”. Or just use Uber/Lyft.

If you have only 3-4 days in Las Vegas, then likely staying on the Strip is right for most people; however, there are some very nice place off Strip, especially if you're in town for a week or longer. There's far more to Las Vegas than The Strip. Great tip about the time share trap. They work that same trap everywhere. For me, this is one of your best videos (most helpful), and you do a lot of good videos.

So you missed three big things, First rio may be off strip but they have a free shuttle to and from Paris which is one strip. Second you can buy a 24 hour buffet from harrahs properties. You buy it for what time you want to eat. We bought it at dinner time which means to ur get dinner, bfast lunch then dinner for one price if 65 bucks. If you go to a more expensive like rio which is all seafood there is a separate additional charge. Third is if you are going to gamble or learn go to Fremont during the day where it’s dirt cheap and usually pretty empty. If your going to do table games they will help teach you the stuff that Vegas does differently than most casinos elsewhere.
@LT81baller2 жыл бұрын
Really really enjoyed this video!! I've been to Vegas once and that was to visit my cousin. We mostly walked the Strip and Fremont. But basically everything she's said is spot on. Same thing my cousin explained while I was visiting him. One slight difference he told me that she may or may not have already covered is don't visit Vegas alone if you haven't set a gambling limit. Or a spending limit in general. My cousin also mentioned to me you will not see a clock or windows obviously anywhere in the casinos. I kid you not you can look all over the gambling floor and you won't see a clock. Casinos don't want you to know what time it is when you are gambling away. The longer they can keep you in the seat the more money they know they're getting. So set your limit and once you hit it it's time to go. As far as the food thing goes that really depends on your tastes and what you're willing to spend for those tastes. Vegas is a place you can visit alone and still have a blast but it's much cheaper when it's with a group. I especially stress that group part for first timers. If you go alone and it's your first time you can easily end up with a drained bank account and a ruined experience overall.
@bogusmogus95512 жыл бұрын
LT8 Yes absolutely godammned right. I would not go to 'Vegas alone, certainly for a first timer, just for safety purposes (even though I did, but I was meeting friends there). But the clock thing, Yes so true! Did a bit of filming at one casino and I accidentally pointed the camera at some people at some slots and got told off by security. I don't know if Ruby and her partner got into any hassle. I suppose thats why no windows. But yeah, you gotta have a watch or your cellphone has to be set for local time or you gonna miss a show or something that you may have planned because you can be so easily distracted.
