Some extra tips: 1. Create a signature look for day and night for each of the seasons. This will also make it easier for days where you “have nothing to wear”. For example for me, in spring and summer during daytime it’s a midi sundress with espadrille wedges, and for night it’s silk dresses with heeled sandals. For fall and winter daytime, I typically do turtlenecks, with longer skirts and over the knee boots keeps you warm but stylish, and night I do fitted long sleeve long dresses. Once again warm but classy. 2. Maintain your nails, not everyone can afford manicures every two weeks, so if you can’t learn how to do them yourself, it’s not hard and once you get the hang of it you’ll notice a difference. 3. Invest in your skin, take care of it with good skincare. Also get good at doing your makeup. Once again create a signature everyday look, something that won’t take you long but will make your features stand out and will last as long as you need it too. 4. Quality over quantity, it’s better to have a very small wardrobe with really high quality pieces that you can wear over and over again rather than a large one filled with cheap fabrics and tacky prints from years ago that don’t fit you. Save up and make a wishlist of things you want to buy to elevate your style. My main tip currently for winter is start with a coat. Also birthdays and Christmas are a great time to ask for things that are slightly out of your price range, and can help you get quality pieces faster. 5. Take your time, unless you have a bunch of money you won’t level up over night. So start small, educate yourself, and be patient. Learn what you want your look to be, and take small steps everyday to reach it. In a couple weeks, or even months you’ll be unrecognizable. But don’t rush it or you’ll end up with subpar results!

Honestly the number one most expensive looking thing is being fit. Every elegant looking woman I've ever seen also had a body that looked "tight" for lack of a better word.
@mariasanpruch70563 жыл бұрын
You can also achieve that „tight” look by wearing shapewear even if you’re bigger
@HosCreates3 жыл бұрын
Its about silhouette and cut. If you have a good cut it helps you look flattering shapely . Thats why women wore/wear corsets and padding. It made curvy ladies in the 1600- 1800's look smaller in the waist.

@@HosCreates but you could look shapely all the time for free with a healthy lifestyle. I don't understand why if you want to upgrade your look with hair, makeup, clothes, bags and shoes you wouldn't just do yourself a favor and start at step 1.

@@clobberelladoesntreadcomme9920 There are lots of reasons "why." As you move through life, you will encounter them.
@tiiahurme95393 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of reasons ”why”. Such as medication. Such as former ED or other mental challenges. Even life itself can sometimes make it impossible to ”look fit and healthy” and actually trying to achieve those can also be unhealthy. Being little ”out of shape” doesn’t always mean that the person wouldn’t be healthy or living a healthy lifestyle. And a person who is fit and skinny isn’t always healthy. Sometimes the #1 thing isn’t so simple. Life will teach and looks tell so little about people and how they feel and live.

I am 4 months pregnant so I’m not showing yet, but I’m already having trouble finding clothes that are nice that make me look and feel elegant. I’m mostly worried about after baby arrives because while I know I’ll be home in just comfortable clothing while I recover, I don’t want to be the mother who wears leggings and doesn’t brush her hair. Not me at all. But I struggle with finding inspiration that’s not “basic.” Any help from any of the lovely ladies in the comments is also incredibly appreciated! It’s always good to accessorize with beautiful hair clips, fancy headbands, and hats. If your hair doesn’t have the volume, add accessories that can! Also, it’s good to make sure the sleekness of your fine hair looks intentional instead of greasy.

I have a tip, you may think and decide what to wear a night or a day before. I love to do this, probably because I’m a makeup junkie and I always coordinate my clothes with my nail polish, outfit, bag, shoes and other accessories such as earrings, bracelet and ring. I love my perfume as well. Planning your look a night before while listening to your favorite music is so much fun. Try it ladies. When you plan your outfit a night before you will look stylish because it was planned it was not random. Thank you so much Anna you are wonderful 💖💖

I think the pandemic has had a lot of us stuck in a rut but this is them perfect time to learn skills of hair dressers and practice new looks. 3) I really need to figure out what colors work for me and want to get a new spring wardrobe that’s appropriate.

Absolutely! If you’re on a budget, learn to do them yourself! Taylor Swift always does her own nails, she never goes to a salon, but WOW her nails are beautiful!

Yes, that! I absolutely cringe at women wearing sandals or peep-toes and it's clearly been weeks since their last pedicure (if they ever had one). And I've never been to a salon for that myself...it's so easy and inexpensive, to do it yourself. And get yourself a UV nailpolish kit, if you wear vibrant nailcolors, that chip easily.

I have advocated for bringing the Lady back for decades. As Anna reaffirms what I know she also encouraged me to take it up a notch. As a conscious consumer of fashion I did a year long spending freeze with clothing. It forced me to use what I owned. I spent a day putting outfits together. In mornings I grad outfit, good to go. Elegant and put together outfits with what I already had. 💗✨💗

@clockworkoregano2 жыл бұрын
Certainly agree with these points but especially about wearing colour! I recently had a colour palette analysis done to find out what colours are best for me and it was soo informative. I never wore colour much before because I did feel it’s hard to know what is best for me, it always seemed too “loud”, and there aren’t a lot of examples since people tend to avoid (probably for the same reasons as me). If you can spare some money and also have that struggle I would recommend so highly! It helped me better understand what colours do the most for my completion so I look less pasty but glow more and accentuate my natural features.

My challenge is looking elegant and put together when I’m simply running errands, going for a walk, or having friends over for a casual fun night. Any recommendations?
@MyCrownstar3 жыл бұрын
Their is a lot of elegant tailored lounge type wear available now, at least here in the US because of the pandemic, people working from home, etc. They are at all price points and materials, - cashmere, silk, that are cut elegantly, like cowl necks. also suggest getting a few “errand” outfits together. Try on everything down to the shoes, jewelry, handbag. Take a picture, this way when you have to run an errand you will always be put together w/o having to think about it. It works for me. I even have a few coordinated looks for when I walk my dog!
@2cut32handle3 жыл бұрын
For those quick errands. What help me is to stick to elevated basics & make sure u always wear good shoes. I have outfits specifically for running errands. It definitely makes life much easier & since its pre-planned its a fail-proof way to ensure ur outfit always looks good

@@MyCrownstar do you know of any good brands for elegant loungewear ?
I really want to be elegant, but I'm just not at that level financially. In order to get rid of anything that makes me unattractive, I would be left with very few pieces of clothing, and times are rough, so I wouldn't be able to re-invest in new clothes so easily. Basically, be rich, and then you can actually have the option to be more elegant. I'm working on it
@romainecalm11083 жыл бұрын
Capsule wardrobe baby! Nothing wrong with a few pieces that make you feel attractive. You’ll get there!! And probably attract more wealth along the way...
@eagletmars3 жыл бұрын
@@romainecalm1108 Thank you for your comment, :] so kind. I actually am beginning to think that elegance is more of an attitude than anything else. But I definitely want to take the time to truly dress for my body because that is my main issue. I just wear what is comfortable, and also clothing that I love. But what I love can be deemed "tom boy-ish." I'm going to find a way to balance my budget, and find pieces that flatter me even if they bring me out of my comfort zone. And you're right! Nothing wrong with a few time capsule pieces, or some good old thrifting :D. With time, and dedication anyone can look more attractive because we are all different, but well know what the best version of ourselves truly is! Times are strange, but it truly is the best time right now for self-development (inside and out) because of this pandemic, and the unconventional ways we spend our time. I hope we all do better in 2021🙏🌸💫
@_angelicr3 жыл бұрын
You don’t have to be rich to dress elegantly. Less is more & you can slowly build your wardrobe one item at a time. It will take time but that’s okay, nothing happens overnight. Find what style you like & how you envision yourself dressing. You don’t have to force yourself to change completely but you can find certain items & style them so they make you feel comfortable. Remember elegance is also about carrying yourself in a way that makes you feel confident. I’ve always believed that how you dress has an impact on how you feel inside, when you look good you feel good! All the best ☺️✨

Above all I wasn't really looking for anyone's opinions, because I felt complete elated and so composed... Gosh.. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your work.

A couple of weeks ago, I gave about 10 dresses and some jeans to my 13 year old daughter, I am 41. I bought myself new dresses, a bit more, up market. Sales are on and it is an investment knowing these clothes will be there in 10 years time. I don't care anymore if I am too dressed up for a coffee or the school run. I will be who I am and if a 50's style, flowy, feminine dresses is what I like to wear, than so be it.

Dear Anna, this was perfect. I could not have said all that better myself. Our closets are full of stuff and nothing is really pretty or inviting, - certainly not elegant in 2021. Right now I have several huge piles of clothes on my balcony ( that has windows, no snow coming inside) out in the fresh, very cold air. That gives me the chance to put more dividers and new hangers into my wardrobe. After 2 days I´ll start picking up clothes one by one from the balcony, looking at them, maybe trying them on and deciding, what I´ll keep and what not. It ´d make me happy, if some 50 % of everything would disappear. Guess what, I have been planning to do just this since 2-3 years. The moment is here !

I really enjoyed this encouragement to think about what you already have and add things to your wardrobe intelligently. I need to buy a few belts and start experimenting. I've begun putting sticky notes on things I have worn that tell me how it fit and what I wore it with. A quick review every so often determines its fate! AND.... As a woman with short hair, I would love to see more short styles and ideas for a bad hair day when your hair is short. Please - don't tell me that short hair isn't elegant!! I don't look good with long hair...honest!

Love your videos! Just wanted to say that I thought I had very thin hair as well, but one day I just decided to stop bleaching and using heat on it, and I started to grow out my natural hair color. Still waiting for my natural color to be as long as I want it, but it’s already a lot thicker and shinier and I dont even have to brush it anymore!! I love to treat it like curly hair; air dry it and using oils and salt water spray in it, and I seriously went from dry, thin bleached hair which I thought was just my bad genes, to healthy, beautiful wavy hair 🙏🏼 Also I quit all fancy shampoos and go for all natural, which really works! More people should try it! ☺️
