We enjoyed a Viking cruise between Budapest and Amsterdam last October. I would recommend it. There’s an awful lot to see and do each day. If you are travelling from Australia I recommend staying for two nights at each end. Thank you for an informative video. From Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

@@TopOzTours Hi Adam, just to add a bit. Our hotels were included in the Viking deal, they included all transfers from hotels, airports and the ship and made the whole experience stress free. The two nights in Budapest helped us get over the hellish trip from Sydney, plus we had another day in Budapest living on the ship and doing excursions including those baths. Have a good evening

What do you think about a balcony? Do you spend enough time on the boat traveling during the day to make that worth it?

Hi there. Good question. Large picture windows that open to let fresh air in are are enough I think (like Juliette-style balconies). Suites generally have larger balconies you can sit out on, but you can go up on deck for that. Adam

We went on a Danube cruise had had a balcony cabin. You can leave your balcony doors open and to hear the sound of the gentle river is so amazing and it puts you to sleep. I would absolutely recommend balcony for river cruises. With ocean cruises, not so much because there's just so much else going on.
