I know this is a repeat video from years past, but I was trying to accomplish a few things I did not mention in the video. One, it was my first video without braces and wearing these plastic retainers in my mouth, so I wanted to see how that went. Second the video editing software I use (Abobe) just updated to the 2025 version and no longer will sync the audio to the video with the format I was recording in, so I had changed some settings on my camera to record in a different format that it seems to sync up ok. And third it was what I had time to record today 🤷🏼♂ -Eric O.

I’m pretty sure your old video is what prompted me to subscribe. My 2011 Corolla had three bad bearings in only a little over a year and the Goodyear station just kept replacing them under warranty instead of letting me pay for OEM Toyota bearings. Unfortunately, that car ended up crushed in an EF4 tornado but there was every reason to believe I would need another bearing soon.

I have in the past seen chrome sockets 'let go' under duress with an impact gun... They usually don't do any real damage when they do. The lesson I learned as a young lad back in the early 70s is that a chrome socket can shed its chrome plating... and if you happen to be holding the socket in your 'other' hand when it does, that chrome plating that comes off is thin, sharp and strong like razor blades! Yeah, I sliced and diced myself good & proper just the one time. If I have to use a chrome socket on an impact, I also use a stout leather glove as well! That lesson has stuck with me for 50 odd years! Nice work Mr. O! Anyone might think you've done one or two of those before. ;) Nice duds from Wilberts too!

Here's a comment... Just because you can do it, doesn't mean we can do it. The reason is the tools! Years ago, I did a front wheel bearing on a Camry. I had never done one before and back then, I don't think YT had the number of tutorials as they do now. Basically I bought the bearing and just started taking crap apart. I didn't have a bearing press, but my buddy had a 20K press. Took over the whole knuckle assembly and we got the bearing replace. OMG, was that hard, even using a press, we had to heat the knuckle up! But man, after I got everything back together, I couldn't believe how much smoother the car rode! These days, I've got all kinds of tools and I'm just DIY.. But watching your vids has me ordering more crap on a weekly bases... just because I want to make sure I have it, in case I need it.
