Well if it were my car I would have jumped the connector with a hunk of wire and called it good. I know that's not what you do Eric but I did say "if it were my car".

You know Eric: You could sell a little BOB style box that has banana plugs down each side that are connected to 4 or 5 different lights or even resistors, so that we could use them as different loads and even combine them for loads.. That would be a pretty cool little trinket

I often wonder. When ever a corrosion is found, why isn't a solution of baking soda and water used to clean it out?

As an older carpenter, most of the jobs I get these days are fixing other peoples mistakes. I wish I could have the same good attitude Eric has, but some the work I see is so bad that I end up cursing the previous carpenters! It's always cheaper to do the work properly the first time. Thanks for saving the customer thousands of dollars Eric. Those unexpected expenses can be killers.

This channel left me the understanding and confidence to figure out a problem someone else was having in an online fan group for an obscure type of car that I also own. They mentioned three systems that had stopped working, and the wiring diagram was available. About three minutes, and it was clear that only one wire could be the problem, and the easy check was in the small engine fuse box. Sure enough, someone had previously used too small a fuse in that circuit, and it had blown. 1) Classify the problem 2) Understand how those items work 3) Locate any commonalities 4) Break down the system into easily checkable chunks It worked perfectly and easily. Thanks SMA.
