I love that there are tricks from so many different cultures, like Wushu, Tae Kwon Do, Capoeira, and Breakdancing.

If the rest of your body goes over your head in a way that makes you complete a full rotation over your head, I'd consider it a flip. Using this ideology, a b-kick isn't a flip, but a shant is. Think of it like spinning a pencil vs. flipping a pencil.

I’m currently trying to learn a side flip
@antwiks17165 жыл бұрын
To be honest you dont have to learn certain flips to be able to progress into other/harder flips. Like I can't do a backflip, cheat gainer or b kick but I can do a b twist, cork and standing full. It moslty depends on commitment, lots of practice and confidence.
@BrendanMorrisonTricking5 жыл бұрын
Zenthimus Prime I don’t think any trick is essential and you certainly don’t NEED a Cheat Gainer to Learn Cork, but if you want to progress to Triple Cork or Shuriken Cutter. It will definitely help to have a good swing from your Cheat Gainer. There is also a big difference between just doing a B-Twist and doing a GOOD b-Twist. If you want to master the sport like me, you need to learn all the tricks 😁

For me a flip is a jumping motion in which you go through a position in which you would hurt your self if you would happen to land on the ground while still remaining in this said position

I am in the camp of a flip being a trick where your hips go above your head. So I would say a butterfly kick is not a flip, but an aerial is. And I still have no idea about shants.

I imagined your backflip with a different technique completely, I try not to go further than my knees to jump cause I feel I do extra effort, why do you do that?
@BrendanMorrisonTricking5 жыл бұрын
Agustin Luengo I’m training!!! I want to get strong legs, so I often do way more jump than I need 😂 I also have a bad habit of pushing my hips forward. I think it’s from all the Straight Gainers I did when I was younger
@BrendanMorrisonTricking5 жыл бұрын
Also I’m far from perfect 🙏🏼 so don’t use my technique as the standard or baseline. Like Back Flip is definitely not my best Trick 😂

I think it depends how u do ur butterfly kick, if u do it almost like an aerial with a dip with ur arms, I think it is but the rest I don't think are flips

I am waiting for the comment by someone who freaks out about how he said the webster is common in parkour lol. Personally, I don't really care about the technicalities of freerunning and parkour.

The tricking aerial isn't from capoeira? I think they call it "au sem mao" ... It is a of axis cart without hands

Yesss shant 😂

In the cart full it would look so much better if you wouldn't tuck your head in, in my opinion of course.

@gezzapk5 жыл бұрын
Dont think shant counts. Far too off axis, almost parallel like a b-kick
