Advice From a native American shaman with dealing with Skinwalkers: There have been quite a few contributors to your channel who have traveled through or lived on ancestral Native American lands. Many have encountered entities that they assume are wendigo or skinwalkers. Most people don't have enough information on either of those things to distinguish them from anything else they could encounter. There are more things in the Americas than skinwalkers and wendigo. But the most two famous things are usually what people hear about. Most of the time what people encounter are protective entities set in place by tribes that once lived there. Or things more ancient than the tribes. Most of the time people who encounter them are likely to sage smudge or go to their European ways of defeating these things. Both work for a while, but the entities return. The best way to stop the entities of native lands from causing harm or fear is to make peace. Not war. Plant a tree on the land in their honor. If the tree grows from the seed, they've accepted the peace offering. Remember that the land you live on is permeated with the will of those who walked before you. That making war with the land is harder than making peace. Set aside a place on the land to honor those who walked there before you, both native and those from other lands who may have walked there. Give that place respect and keep it reserved for them. And they will respect your homes. The beings of the wilds are more complicated, and often people consider something that scares them to be evil. The things encountered in the wild are of the wild, and they would not venture into human homes. When you venture into theirs, should you encounter them, think of them as a homeowner in whose cabin you ask to stay the night. You're the guest. Consider yourself a guest, and don't overstep your bounds. Many of the entities to be encountered in North America have their own ways, but the best way to encounter anyone or anything is with respect and courtesy.

I'm pretty sure if that dog was given the magical ability to communicate with humans he would tell you he'd much rather be living in a warm home than on the streets or in a makeshift tarp tent. If you can't care for yourself enough to fins shelter then you probably shouldnt have pets either.

I feel like at least half of these encounters depicted experiences of mistaken identity, where the creatures weren't actually skinwalkers, but just crawlers. People need to learn to better differentiate between wendigoes, skinwalkers, and crawlers. Also, just because the Creepy Pasta tale, of The Rake, has used the off-putting appearance of the crawler, and attributed it, to a malevolent, bloodthirsty entity, people need to realize that this is fictional. Crawlers are the true creatures to appear this way, and many cultures involve myths and legends that date back centuries, involving them, and used terms, such as, "pale men" and, "ashmen" to define them. These beings have an unpleasant, and often terrifying, pasty white, emaciated, humanoid appearance, and use uncomfortable, and unnatural-sounding shrieks, as a method of comminication, but are otherwise almost entirely benign. They are curious creatures, but mostly harmless, unless, of course, under attack, themselves. Wendigoes and skinwalkers, on the other hand, are VERY malicious, and dangerous beings. Please try not to get them confused with one another! After I moved from the hustle and bustle of Orange County, CA, to the middle of nowhere, in Southeast Texas, I had my own, first encounter, with a crawler. It definitely creeped me out, at the time; however, it intrigued me more than it was able to scare me. I have, since, returned to that location, many times, over the period of about year and a half, and I continue to do so, in order to learn more about these creatures. I can tell you, from my own experience, and with total certainty, that aside from having an intimidating, physical appearance, and ear-piercing method of communicating, these creatures are quite benign. They are very curious though, and without a strict 'social etiquette' to live by, like we have, as humans, they simply don't realize that staring can be interpreted, as rude, uncomfortable, or threatening, and, as a result, they do this a lot, as a way of observing and learning! They are docile though, and as a 5'3, 100lb female, I would certainly make an easy target, for any evil being, yet I have never, once, been threatened or treated with aggression, by crawlers! At this point, dare I say, they seem very familiar with me, now, and they almost, even, seem to enjoy my company! I must assume, by now, that these creatures must actually be closely related to humans; perhaps, at one point, both, our species and theirs, splitting off, from a common ancestor. They just share far too many similar physical traits, and appear to share a high level of intelligence, with us, as well. My guess, is that, from this shared, common relative, that possibly, more than half of the species, chose to become land dwelling, hunter/gatherers, who were regularly exposed to direct sunlight, etc, and adapted a physical appearance, akin to that seen in modern humans, due to the environmental factors of such lifestyle choices, whereas the remaining population, dwelled below ground, hidden from sunlight, and, over time, adapted to the warm, moist environments of cave and cavern systems, with physical structures, taking on a form, more ideal for traversing these particular environments. Regardless though, I wish that we would just be told the truth, and that our governments would stop lying to us, and concealing the existence of these creatures, as well as the existence of all other cryptids! I fully believe that we have a God-given right to the truth!

To become a S-walker you have to take the life of a loved one and cannibalize their flesh (at least that's what I've heard about the dark ritual) and little by little the person transforms as their hunger for flesh and blood takes over. Supposedly the way to kill them or gain power over them is to call them by their human name. I don't think it has anything to do with Satan, just dark magic that shaman's have performed to become those things. That's what I've heard in accounts of S-walker hunters at least

I can't with the fake stories.
