The TSA screening is, IMO, the most stress part of air travel. You are expected to place all your possessions in a tray that earlier in the day may have been used by a passenger with dog poop on his shoes. At many airports going through TSA is like the Gong Show: you are expected to go super-fast and not impede those behind you while stripping off your belt, shoes, coat, etc. At some airports, you are okay watching your stuff go through the Xray machine before going through the body scanner while at others, you get yelled at for even hesitating. The worst airports are Seattle in the morning, where you are expected to make a TSA reservation time using an app because it is so bad and Dallas-Love Field which is only used by Southwest and is understaffed by TSA. I was there once when there were three departing flights at almost the same time and only a few TSA agents and Southwest ground people were yelling at everyone to hurry. It reminded everyone there of a slaughterhouse or bootcamp. TSA staff think they are doing the Lord's work and many act very entitled. I guess running this gauntlet is just part of the price we pay to travel using commercial air service.

I haven’t flown in about 30 years so I found this info very helpful. Thanks 😊😊😊

Personally, I think that the TSA is totally ineffective and should be done away with in totality. There is no need for this poor excuse for "security."

I guess I'll drive. Flying has become a HASSLE. I DON'T NEED THAT. The security causes along delay. We have to put up w/ a lot. I will just drive because the whole process of flying has become too long winded.😖😖😖😖

Why don't you give examples other than SSSS?
@orianm304322 сағат бұрын
TSA does not give SSSS codes .Every time you purchase an airline your subject to a background check if something in that check doesn't look right then that triggers a SSSS on your boarding pass.

“… ENSURING that electronics and wallets are not left in bins for extended periods” WTH is that supposed to mean? HOW does one do that?
@edmundscarborough2230Күн бұрын
This is proof that the current Administration both under Obama and Biden break the law and they have an enemies list and use it like a cudgel! Your identity and wallet should be protected. See the Constitution. Both Administrations have disregarded the laws for their enrichment. That is both Obama and Biden!

They ALWAYS say to empty your pockets of ALL belongings. That includes your Passport, so NO, you don’t get to keep it on you.

TSA precheck is safe?? So no checks on the bags carried on board? That doesnt sit well with me. I think we all should just go through the hell of long lines at TSA and be safer as much as it sucks
