Really useful video! Both the colored Thai script and the arrows to indicate the tones are extremely helpful, the best system I have seen so far. You could make a part 2 of this one, or even a series about Thai food.

Thank you, Khun Kanitsa, for such smart organized lessons! Being a teacher myself, I love your way to put text both in Thai and English using different colors very deliberately that helps to understand and remember the information very well! Bravo!👏

Sawadee krub, Teacher. 🙏🏻 I'm in culinary school and this has been my FAVORITE video of yours! 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #1. I love green curry, but Thais also make "แกงเผ็ด," right Teacher? 🟥 2. I cooked Tom Yum Kha for my final for the semester and because I added "coconut milk" I added "kha" to the name. Right, Teacher? (My chef instructor wanted more coconut milk and more พริก.)🌶️ 🇺🇸🤝🇹🇭
@letslearnthai2 жыл бұрын
แกงเผ็ด is red curry. I'm not sure if we have Tom Yum Kha 😆, we have Tom Yum or Tom Kha. They are different. Adding coconut milk doesn't always mean it's Tom Yum or Tom Kha. We have 2 types of Tom Yum, clear soup & thick soup (with coconut milk, but the modern version use creamer instead). Kha/ข่า is galangal, Tom Kha is a soup dish with galangal and meat where we usually add coconut milk. I think what you cooked was Tom Kha.

Lol... If you say "côw" in falling tone, that is ข้าว/rice in Thai. Those are popular dishes!

Your presentation and selection of words/foods to share is wonderful and very helpful. Thank you! You probably know this already, but just in case you haven't heard it, whereas in Thai the sh/ch sound not being a sound that needs to be distinguished when being pronounced, in English this one sound difference can mean a different word (ex. dish vs. ditch). So if you wish to level up your already amazing English skills, you could practice distinguishing between these sounds when you speak. Thank you again for your great content! I hope I can improve my Thai so I can further experience the wonderful warmth from the Thai people while communicating in Thai with them 🤗

My favorite Thai dish ... thai noodle soup with pork egg rolls and fish sauce.. I tried googling and i don't see the Thai name... I find it in most Thai places in the states. Hugs .. Gang Jued Woon Sen. Poh Pia Tod ?
@letslearnthai27 күн бұрын
Poh Pia is one of my favorites too! By the way, can't think of noodle soup with pork egg rolls 🤔
@salacitastranscendentiamors27 күн бұрын
I looked up some menus close to where I live. The restaurants in the states are called Thai Vietnamese Probably - Vietnamese Noodle Bowl Soup: Lemongrass Hot & Spicy Soup (Bún Bò) Vermicelli rice noodles in spicy fish broth with fresh herbs [sprouts etc..]. With 3 rolls. Golden fried with marinated pork. Maybe Thai has the same soup?, I love green curry as well.. i plan to come to Thailand in Jan 25 !!!!
