Pro tip from a wintrace veteran for those who are interested: When you are hiding always try to have at least two hidding spots. First go to the higher one so you can easily go to the lower hideout with transparency (at least that works for me) if the hunter starts climbing to get you ^^

ok but this event terrifies me, I've only ever played one round, embarrassed myself horribly and my social anxiety kicked in and I shut genshin without thinking, and then found out a day later that it ends the game for everyone and realized that I looked like an asshole and felt even worse and even more judged

I'm sorry that you have that experience and you feel super bad about it. Please know that it's an honest mistake and you're trying your best! Everyone can play the game however they want. I get anxious whenever I join a match so I try to have fun doing whatever dumb thing I end up doing. I know that it might not be the same for you too. But hopefully you'll feel comfortable enough to try this event whenever you'd like!

THAT USED TO BE ME!! I didnt play windtrace the first time bc I was terrified!! But listen here, in my experience people really don't talk much (maybe bc I play on ps and we can't type that quick) and I haven't encountered any rude people either! I'm not the best at being the hunter but some people would encourage me. It was very sweet of them. And then there was this time when a rebel sided with the hunter and they were all flirty and stuff and I felt angry BUT ANYWAY it's incredibly fun. I hope you get over your fear 🥺 You will feel so free. Btw do you play on europe server?? I'd love to help you get over your anxiety!!

I love being the “catch me if you can” as Itto, because his dash voiceline is literally “can’t catch me”. 😁 But you nailed it so much with the “played 1000 hours of Windtrace because nothing to do at high AR”. I played so much that I know all the shortcuts and just have fun messing with the hunter.

I had one insane round that I want to share. I was hiding between a wall and some stairs as a barrel cause it was the perfect height and I was right on the edge of the map so they walked by me countless times for most of it. No one had been found by the time the favor dropped, but I thought "Well even if I get caught, my teammates will be safe from the hunter's favor" so I ran out right in front of him and grabbed the favor and dashed away. He followed me for about a minute before I climbed over a wall and was able to hide as a barrel with some other ones that he already tried to capture so he overlooked me. No one ended up being captured. I'd like to think I saved my teammates by grabbing the favor, and even if I got captured the hunter wouldn't know where the others were so they'd be safe

Omg this me. And one time I didn't even have my rebel skill when i finally entered (i was able to use my xiao skill and do NAs) and the hunter couldn't capture me even if i'm in their capture range so i ended up winning with a 'half asleep' achievement lmao. Dunno if that's my internet or just me

The non disguise player is me lol There this on spot at Ayaka's house that I always go to. It's highly risky cause there's no escape root, but so far nobody has taken a look there, and I haven't seen it in anyone's video... Now I'm waiting to congratulate the first person to find me there. haha! Edit: A hunter did eventually see me with their favour, but they couldn't figure out how to climb in lol

Only used disguise once for mora prize. The amount of times I hid in plain sight as brightest, most standing out characters makes me laugh. Favorite spot? Behind structure tall enough to obstruct my character's height, like those boxes in Inazuma port or rock on Kamisato estate But my FAVORITE moment is in Mondstat forest. I walked on cliff right above where hunter spawns, sat there for a little, went invisible cuz Venti found me, hid behind tree trunk, circled it while walking (poor Venti was confused) and later SNATCHED favor right in front of him, used it and RAN towards waterfall. LEAP OF FATE into it, used invis when walking out and hid behind the same tree trunk as before. Won as the only Rebel while being chased twice. I was Itto

I see that people are sharing their funny moments so i'm gonna share mine aswell. So i was hunting as qiqi and an albedo asked me to not catch him (btw i couldn't use chat only the emotes in genshin) so i used the OK symbol and..i saw him at the winery. I didn't actually catch him,then i found the other 2 rebels when i started ACTUALLY playing. *And that same albedo won the game,i can't imagine how happy he was when that match happened.*

There was this one round where I was disguised as a scarecrow (in Qingce village) next to 2 actual scarecrows and the hunter walked past me after using their capture skill. It was super close but they didn’t manage to capture my disguise and so the hunter just kept running in different directions without coming back 🤣 then I tried to snatch the favour but didn’t realise the hunter was on his way and I was still in the disguise. Quickly ran away in my scarecrow form and somehow the hunter just magically missed it! It was quite funny and I was just laughing the entire time at how lucky I was hahaha

One of my funniest games was on the Starfell Valley map. I climbed the cliff behind the hunter's starting position. I got so high I could see over the barrier around the hunter. I could see almost the entire map, and I could be seen from nearly anywhere, I had no concealment. All the hunter had to do was look up. He never did.

LMAO i have this policy for myself to not use disguise at all and what i do is i just stand out in the open pretending to talk with npcs (chars like babra, albedo (sad i dont have him) yunjin? didnt work for me- or noelle work at dawn winery (i personally like to use noelle lol) then i use sara as if im talking to the soilders and then i use xingqiu/bennett for that flower terrace (sorry i forgot the name) and stand near the npcs at the gate and it cracks me up like now NO ONE finds me when im right in front of them XDD u guys should try it out its fun and as for places which dont have npcs at all i just climb up a high off wall and blend out in the nature (i use yanfei/sayu) :>

Wind trace has cursed my server, one time I was playing windtrace and the whole map glitched, then I was kicked out of the player's server but there’s one hunter I’m my world in kojou encampment. I couldn’t kick the player out, nor am I allowed to close the co-op, when I reset the game, *the player is still there*

I was a kazuha in Dawn winery also shout out to that Beidou who was running because of a albedo lmao So quick story me and two rebels (Beidou was there) we were chatting about albedo disguise as a maid (because the hunter was a albedo) one of the rebel got caught. And I was at the lamp post as a lamp. As the hunter was close. I change back to kazuha and ran because he figured out my hiding spot. For some reason the wall on dawn winery was tall enough that whenever a medium size characters dashes can be hidden. So I juke the albedo 3 times until he went to the grape field because I change to a chair in a bush. Ironic. So when the hunter got the favor the first thing he does was chasing the Beidou I was chatting earlier. As you can see after reading this. It was cat and mouse chase. The best part I wasn't even disguise and I was in front of the winery but when Beidou came to my direction. Instead of catching me since I was closer. The hunter went where Beidou was going. I NEVER LAUGH SO HARD IN MY LIFE THAT IMMEDIATELY STARTED TO THINK WHAT IS THAT REALLY DOING LMAO!! end the story it was really fun
