I am Chinese Canadian, raised on home cooked meals and number two uncle who's a trained chef. I have had Panda Express food about 3/4 mile from my house. It's OK with the exception of the Broclli, it's what we Chinese Cantonese call western broclli because it's broclli that's gone to flower, Chinese broclli is the stems and leaves, woked in oil and served with oyster sauce. We only get that when we're in a Chinese resturant in China town.

I'm retired in Colorado. There are a few Chinese resturants I would call real Cantonese food. Remember, in America, you have Chinese from around the world, and we bring that taste from around the world. Andrew Chang was Chinese born (what ever that means, example, my mom and dad are born in differenr parts of the world, Mom is born in New Westminister, BC while dad was born in Penang Malyasia and I, in Calcutta, India). Mrs Chang was born in Burma and raised in Hong Kong, China.

Within 1/4 mile from where I work, are a Panda Express, and a Taco Bell. Yes, I go to both. Do I think either one serves "real" authentic food? NO! But, they both serve decent food! (The Taco Bell, the day after the local Baseball team scores 5 [or more] runs, has a 3 free taco deal, if you buy a large drink. And, will supreme size them for another dollar. Since I'm an old phart, I spend $3.11 for the deal.) steve
