I found two spots with mushrooms. Booth are in the southern Glacier. First Spot is located in square M14 cave in the Stone Cliff. Second ist the cave behind the polar bear boss. These are the only spots i know of

Wish the rant mob on the steam forums would care to view your tips. Especially the one about how to recover your items if your corpse is bugged after a death. I haven't died in the last 80 hours of playtime, so it never happened to me. And I totally overlooked the flatbread - I crafted it once but now I usually go for beer, but that requires much more tech (glas bench and so on). For shorter missions, I should really go back to bread. Thanks for the tip!

Pumpkin Bread is great, it requires the Biofuel Stove but it doesn't decay in your inventory and has very good stats so it's definitely worth it.

I just wish they would allow talent Respec at space station. So you can plan for the mission in advance but once you land that's what you're using. Until then I'm going to wait, I'm glad they adjusted tier 4, that's one good step in the list of problem's.

Be aware that sometimes drop pods for supply tend not to work as fridge after restart...it happened to me once, it is safer to make an ice box

I found mushrooms in caves recently, but they are not very common. I don't know if some recent update added it?

Yes this was a update about 2-3 updates ago. We actually make a video every day on update day about what has changed in the game.

I've got a question on the Orbital Shop bows ... I see various players using them in videos, and even some Tips videos recommending them. Is there something missing from the tooltip? The Orbital Shop bow doesn't give any extra damage at all. Even the lowly Longbow gives +25% Projectile Damage, and the Compound Bow gives a whopping +100%! I haven't bought it, so I can't test it, but this seems like a glaring reason NOT to spend all those coins (and a Drop Pod slot) bringing a bow.

I cannot speak for any other workshop bow other than the top teir one requiring exotics research and buy. When comparing that bow to a long bow, the top teir workshop bow does about 10 less damage than the long bow. On the other hand an upgraded durability long bow has about 8'600 health where as the top teir workshop bow has 50'000 durability withch is 5.8 times the durability with out the hassle of making a shelter and crafting table. My personal feelings on it. Well it's the same I feel about most of the tools. Is it necessary, No. Can it be a be a big benefit if you plan on just running and gunning a mission with nearly nothing, Yes. As it could equally feel pointless if plan on camping and spear heading straight to T4 hunting rifle.
