That casket match between Undertaker and Heidenreich was hilarious with Heidenreich being terrified of caskets 😆

I remember a shoot interview with Luna, she said that someone (she gave the name, but I don’t remember it) told her that if Sable got hurt in that strap match, she’s fired (she said that with who said it, she knew it was coming from Vince. When the match was over and Luna got backstage, everything was quiet and nobody talked to her. When Sable got backstage, everyone erupted with clapping and congratulating her. Luna then said she went into a corner and cried. When she was crying, Owen Hart came over to her, told her she had a good match, and sat with her when she cried.
@SsnakeBiteКүн бұрын
Damn. I know Luna had a reputation for being pretty hard to work with at times, but that sounds absurdly harsh. Good on Owen to be the one decent person around her.

Stories like this are why I'm glad Vince McMahon will never be head of WWE again. Absolutely despicable behavior from him, and the fact he gaslit the rest of the roster into thinking that way is even more disgusting.

The biggest shame of that Wyatt Knight match, is that was Bray's last televised match. Hindsight really hits with that one.

This is one of the reasons I loved the Rumble PPV back in the day. Because so many wrestlers were booked on the Rumble (unless they did double booking), there was bound to be one or two "Huh? That on PPV? Okay..." matches on the show lol

1989 Royal Rumbles also features an odd match between King Haku and the returning Harley Race seeking to reclaim his crown. Both wrestlers perform as heels as Bobby Heenan on the outside keeps switching his allegiance based on who appears to be winning in the match. The crowd is interested, but also downright confused as to how they're supposed to react to any of it.

@@EvaFull Yes, the Super Pose Down. I mentioned it in another comment. Not really a match per se, but an official contest of sorts, cause there was rules and Warrior was declared the winner.

There was an audience for Drew's Rumble win, and he got huge pops for it. It was his title win against Brock at Wrestlemania that was during lockdown. Edge won the Pandemic Rumble in front of an audience of iPads.

So I'm rewatching the attitude era and the minis were featured heavily on WWE at the end of 97 and 98. It's not surprising that this match happened with context. They were using Sunny as guest announcer for the minis at the time so it made sense for her to be involved. And the story was that Jerry Lawler hated Max Mini because Max sat on The King's lap during a match. So it made sense but if you are looking back at a list of matches it doesn't make sense

I wonder if the Bushwhackers would have excelled in the era after they were in, the attitude era. Imagine them coming out as the Bushwhackers, only to snap, like the Abyss/Joseph Parks storyline in Impact TNA Wrestling. They would then turn into the Sheepherders, and then we all know what kind of damage they will do afterwards. They were comedy to make a paycheck, and that is fine of course. But the fact they were a brawling, lethal tag team before shows how they could have been better utilized in a different time. A prime Sheepherders vs A.P.A. match would have been money in the right circumstances.

When it launched it branded itself as an energy drink, because it has enough caffeine in it to have to legally "declare" it on the bottle (>18mg per 100ml) actual energy drinks are between 30-50mg per 100ml It isn't an energy drink, Coca-Cola has the same amount of caffeine, just.
