It's kind of like watching the Fifth Element. I wasn't expecting Gary Oldman to pit up some kind of amazing battle with Spruce Willis, even with his cheesy guns, but they never even see each other, and miss crossing paths by mere moments. For a game, I'm thinking about Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. Xizor appears in cutscenes occasionally, but Dash Rendar never faces him; on foot or in space. If you read more back content, Prince Xizor is actually explained to be a very gifted combatant, as he prepares to one day maybe even face Vader in a duel for vengeance, and his personal ship, the Virago, is actually very pimped, and quite durable, but nope; you just blow up the skyhook, and I guess we are supposed to believe that the crime lord who could order Jabba around didn't have an escape plan? Guri, too. She appears in the comics, and we find out that the HRD is actually strong enough to snap Chewbacca's arm like a twig, but you never confront her, either. It's nice that she shows up later in comics, do at least she survived the skyhook explosion, but it's weird that you get to fight IG-88 AND Boba Fett, but not Xizor and his energy blade fans, or Guri, and her droid advantages.

oh, there IS a scene in the Shadows of the Empire novel where Luke battles Xizor in a hallway. Xizor shoots at him, Luke thinks to himself, "his first shot would have hit me RIGHT in the EYE is not for The Force", Luke blocks several more shots, Guri throw a SOFA at him, Chewbacca blasts it to pieces, Leia shoots at Xizor, he hides in a room and calls for reinforcements... Dash was a minor character...

Technically you do fight Venat, after it literally *merged with Vayne for the final battle on the grounds that their goal was still achieved regardless*. Though I understand not everyone got that when they played the game.

Does Anubis from Zone Of The Enders 1 count? You can't damage him so you just run away. Also Spider Man on PS1, you run away from Carnage Doc Oc but never actually fight it.

FFXII is a stretch. I get that Venat is influencing things but it’s pretty obvious from the start of the game that Vayne Solidor will be the main villain before Venat gets involved. You pretty much battle every villain in that game: Vayne, Gabranth, Cid etc

Illusive Man in Mass Effect was hardly the Main Villain. He only ever was "a villain" due to him being Indoctrinated and controlled by the reapers. It feels this list was compiled from watching reviews and reading articles than actually playing the games :

@@johnwrath3612 He wasn't, it was after certain events between ME2 and 3 where he became indoctrinated. He only really became properly antagonistic in 3 after he became indoctrinated. IIRC, it was shown in flashbacks that he was willing to let Shepard go. So while the IM was not a good person, he wasn't a proper antagonist until ME3, after indoctrination.

The main villain in Deadly Alliance was *not* Onaga lol....thus it wasn't anticlimactic he just wasnt the big bad in that game...Did these guys even play the game or pay attention to the plot?? They literally show you all this in the beginning showing Shang and Quan killing Shao Kahn(later revealed to be a clone) snd killing Liu Kang who later would be resurrected as a zombie thanks to Dark Raiden. That being said Deadly Alliance was never about Onaga because the big bad were Shang Tsung and Quan-Chi hence the *Deadly Alliance* The only remote Onaga talk is him coming back via Reptiles body but was never the main villain in that game... Onaga's are was Deception and you do fight him in that game...

This is exactly what I was thinking when I saw MK:DA on here. Onaga's name isn't even mentioned iirc; only "The Dragon King" in backstories, and the lore made it very apparent that he was long dead.

4. Onaga, Dragon King - MK Deadly Alliance Technically you do actually fight him. It’s Reptile. If you beat the game with Reptile, his story is he actually got to the crypt 1st and Onaga’s spirit possesses him. Thus, leading to the sequel where Reptile is no longer playable, but Onaga is the final boss.

General Cross - Rage was on a few of your other lists. Fine that he was in Rage 2 but you don't meet or even see him in the 1st game

1. General Cross from Rage. LONG before Rage 2 was announced, plenty expected him to be the final boss fight at the end of the game, not just a bunch of cybernetically enhanced mutants. 2. Sofia Lamb from Bioshock 2. At least Fontaine you get to fight him, I had expected you'd have to deal with Lamb at the end of the 2nd game, but we didn't get that. 3. Anton Castillo from Far Cry 6. Vaas, Holt, and Joseph we all got to fight it out in FC3 and 5, I was expecting we'd get the same with Castillo. 4. Dr. Krone from Timeshift. Wasn't a popular game, but I liked it. You only had to destroy his sentinel and that's it.

whoa whoa, songbird wasnt a villain. he was elizabeths watch dog. songbird is defeated and its kinda sad, cause hes defeated doing what he was built to do, which is protect elizabeth. Also, Comstock is killed in other timelines. you are your own villain in infinite, and in the end, you are defeated.

It's a stretch to call either Illusive man or G-Man villains. It's no question when it comes to Illusive man. He is not a villain in Mass Effect 2 at all and in 3 he is indoctrinated, it all comes down to the main threat from the very beginning - The Reapers. G-Man definetely did some things that could be seen as villainous from the perspective of humans, however we still don't know what the big picture in Half-Life is.

As we take down the first on Tuchanka wit hthe aid of a thresher maw we use the Quarian fleet or blast the Rannoch one down at the end of tha tsection and th final one on Earth during the final mission. Granted we lure them into traps to take them out but still it feels satisfying.

I disagree on the Illusive Man. He is a major player and Cerberus is a big threat but the main villain in all Mass Effect games are the Reapers. And since when is the G-Man the main villain in Half-Life?

Damn do the script writers not get Half-Life and the G-Man, because he's on these lists every damn time. Jules, buddy, pass it along to them would you? The G-Man. Is not. A villain. He is an entirely neutral party who merely acts out of interests of his nebulous employers to find interesting people through time and space and plonk them where they need to be to make an impact on events there. "The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world." He's never a direct threat to Gordon or humanity unless you refuse the offer at the end of Half-Life 1, and really he's so polite about it that you kinda feel bad and ashamed of yourself if you do for dying pointlessly when he had already promised you something better. You might be able to make a case for Half-Life: Alyx (no, I will not spoil it for anyone who hasn't played or watched a LP of it) but even that is a stretch. G-Man. Is. Not. A. Villain.

Starting with Bioshock Infinite was a ....strange choice. I genuinely wasn't sure if you were aware of that plot point. I definitely have the impression that you've never played it and have no idea what it's about. If you thought the Illusive Man was the main villain, you weren't paying attention. This video is bad and seems like it was written by people who have never played these games and simply used references to write a script. I'm not even gonna explain G-Man to you because you clearly don't care. How are you defining "main villain"? These videos are often a helluva stretch, but this one takes the cake.
