This still is my favorite WFC format, revealing to us the outer limits of watchmaking. The videography, narrative and delivery remain peerless. Thanks, and happy holidays and best wishes for the new year to you and the WFC team, Andrew.

How damn cool are watchmakers? They bring us so much joy with their genius.

An eclectic fun bunch of watches I like Hodinky Berkus watches. Nothing else out there like them. Super cool watchmaker too I like the story and drive behind felipe’s work as well. The most impressive story has to be that Korean kid who built his own watch from scratch Nice

Best thing about Bill Sanders starting a Swiss watch brand is that Bill will now correctly pronounce one Swiss watch brand.

BB54 is my favourite release of 2023 its absolutely beautiful remake of tudors first ever vintage diver an exquisitely stylish 37mm timepiece packs a big wrist presence considering its size, with its beauty and simplicity tudors newly crowned number 1 imo😊

Now this is a fascinating video. One of your best in fact. It is fantastic to know that there really are watchmakers still making timepieces not marketed at the gullible status jockeys looking for next mainstream offering to show off to their friends. These timepieces are made with love!

Btw you forgot to mention the new black and gold mr01!!!! The black is glossy and the polished numerals are pvd gold 👀👀👀 I still prefer my salmon (beige) dial, but the new mr01 is a killer option too. ❤

I'm a fan of Ludwig Oechslin, but my favourite design in this video is the Lyrique. And, just to tease You a bit, I bought a watch with a Harley Ronda microrotor-movement last year for 60,- €.

I’ve been singing the praises of Felipe Pikulik for over a year now. The dude’s bevels and engraving are incredible and for $15-20K you can afford nearly everything he makes.

only 15K? wow

Pikullik is an Instagram hype-phenomenon, nothing more. All of his watches lack detail, finesse and, most importantly: an understanding of aesthetics. Don‘t trust the hype.

11. Whatever it is ressence are doing. Oil filled, mechanical magnet stuff. 12. That VC pocket watch that has just about every complication you can think of, is the size of a hockey puck and weighs almost a kilo. 13. Did you know F.P. Journe has a chronograph that can measure 1/100 of a second and has a mainspring that can unwind in two directions?

I like your channel ver much and this is another Great video, but your pronunciation of "Czechia" (the shortened name of the Czech Republic) sounds more like "Chechnya", which is clearly a different country 😉 Plus, you made it sound a bit like he lives in a cave😅 Yes, he lives in a village but close to a big city. Anyway, that's just nitpicking, great video, regardless.

I don’t think Calatrava watches are “mostly machine made”! Movements in basic Calatrava models are finished not to the same level as in complicated models, but still hand finished.

A Chinese watch costing $13000 is a rare bird but much more common I suspect is a Swiss watch with many Chinese parts costing a similar amount.

WARNING HOT TAKE: 7:20 this stuff looks terrible I’m sorry to say. Clearly made by someone who’s learning on the job, basically the equivalent of tattoo apprentice, someone who gives your first tattoo for free and you’re super happy with it in the moment but 5 years later when you know little bit more about it you regret it 😂
