The Heritage Record is better. This Longines is not as smooth. The Record gives the Daytona a run for the money. I’m talking about the black dial & gold hands which look better than the SS Daytona and the rounded pushers that don’t stick out a half inch. When you see it you’ll know. ❤

If Longines makes it a little bit bigger like 47mm and thicker like 17mm, it probably beats the daytona.

Is it a fake or is it a clone and if it is a clone and is cheaper than what is the issue? The issue is that people out there are going to try and sell a clone for the same money as the original when in fact they are not made to the same degree. The issue of single ownership wherein the owner knows and doesn't care about whether or not it is an original is mute, it is only when cloned watches enter the market as original watches thus damaging the resale/sale price of the original highly over price unit. Bottom line is that these are jewelry that tell time (usually not all that accurately) and people buy them as investments which is where the rub is.

Rolex can relax for now, but Longines blows Rolex's homage/Tudor out of the water. Longines gold Spirit Flyback takes no prisoners.

Longines needs to up their bracelet game considerably. They need to get away from pins and move to screws and better end links. They need to get away from crappy butterfly clasps and do some sort of quick adjust (there are a lot of options or they can design their own). Spending another $50 to $100 on non-crap bracelets would move them into a much higher tier. I have specifically not purchased Longines “watches” that I like a lot.. because of strap and bracelet shortfalls which I would buy if only they would get out of the lower end habit of Shyte bracelets and strap components. Yes.. I would pay a little bit more.. and happily.
