Bro literally from my self experiencce in international jobs interviews iit and tier3 are treated like same i have given 3 international interviews iit students were also there in all 3 but i got selected in amazon. So iit doesnt guarantee u a job they didnt have the skill and they were overconfident (not all iitians are same) they kept on making fun of my college by asking me its name continuously but at the end they lost to my kubernetes , docker and cloud computing skills. Plot twist : i learned 20 percent of my kubernetes from kunal Thank u kunal ❤

One of the traps Students get into is tutorials with title "Learn CSS in 4 hours" "HTML 1 hour course" "Python with projects in 7 hours" lol. The truth is you can't learn so many languages so early. 1.sole purpose of internship was to give a student a experience of work culture of a particular company . But students ( specially Indian students) look at it as color in their resume and shine it. 2. Free certificates are Dog water. 3. If they ask you to become campus an ambassador without providing you financial or any other help to manage the program , then don't consider yourself as campus ambassador , you are a SALES person for that company .

Anuj bhaiya started dsa one course two years back. Everybody that time was so hyped because of his relation with Apna college channel. However the way he taught recursion made me leave the channel and go for other playlist. I managed to reach the rod cutting problem of dp in three months, but my our favourite Anuj bhaiya took two years . Its the recent video he made on dp. My point is rod cutting problem is one of those problem of dp that is important and is generally taught during a dsa "course". However it took him two years to teach it . So where is the "for the Student" he keeps talking about? Well krta bhi kya he was busy leaving Amazon for ""Students"" apparently.

If you're a student, please understand that its your personal brand value that should shine, a xyz company and an educator are creating their brand values leveraging you. Students generally get misguided and lowballed easily as they dont understand their own value. When you start gaining work experience you'll realise that why you should work for someone who is valuing you. By value I dont mean ctc, it means that you have a very strong demand in market.

Yea man ur so right about the CP community in India. The highest achievement in the biggest CP contest ICPC by an Indian is the World Finals. I'm an absolute newbie in this field and I was shocked to see no one has yet won a medal in ICPC. But it's not all dark tbh. India does have a world champion. Kalash Gupta IITD won CodeVita gold this year. Idk how big is this contest but the prize money he got was $10k so definitely one of the biggest ig.

Dude that is conducted by TCS 🤣🤣.....and is the largest coding competition in world thanks to our population Facebook hacker cup , icpc , codejam , Kickstart these are respectable competition To be honest, I am also perplexed as how we have never won any of these .....top iitians(surely they are not in it for jobs ) have won gold in international olympiads (phy, maths) but idk what goes wrong In coding competitions 🥲🥲
@justarandomguy157
@justarandomguy157 Жыл бұрын
@@aaronator5225 No it can't be all useless. U learn a language C++ very well. Also it just seems a fun idea to me. The experience of the big contests can't be worthless. If it would have been so useless then so many successful people won't be into this. Also CP does give advantage in the field I'm interested in and it's not SDE. I know this bcz I've done research and many many students who are successful in my field have been ICPC world finalists. Also the network u build with such intelligent and competent people definitely can't be useless. If someone is getting paid $10k for winning it then it can't just be useless. Also there are startups who value CP. They may not be in SDE. If u know a software engineer doesn't always need to be in a Tech company there are other fields too.
@justarandomguy157
@justarandomguy157 Жыл бұрын
@@aryanofficial7698 yes ik it's done by TCS but it's still a very big achievement. It has nothing to do with population. There were over 100k participants from 34 countries. Yes those are even bigger. ICPC is the Olympics of coding. And the finalists are generally IITians and it's very saddening. Idk how Indians have fared in IOI.

Alright, I wasn't able to get into the company I was interning at due to there "not being enough funding for another developer" but my peer got selected into the company. Sometimes you have to grit your teeth and accept that YOU are at fault for your lack of skills and nobody is going to spoon feed you. Putting your pride away and looking at the scene without the rose tinted glasses (Example: I am a great developer because I successfully made one good looking website) you have been wearing is essential to get better and break your past limits. That being said, I am struggling with that too and am constantly working on it. Your fellow realist :P

Hi Kunal, just wanted to know if learning HTML & CSS is mandatory to become a Frontend developer. Although I started with that goal in mind, now I recently got to know from a close friend that that is not necessarily the case. Would like to know your thoughts on this!!

HTML and CSS are eye openers. You can say it's not required now but old school web developers will ask you to master HTML and CSS (Atleast CSS) otherwise working on jquery and react will be tougher.

Although most of the modern front end libraries like react ,vue and frameworks like Angular only require javascript or typescript based on your preference. But it's good to have a solid understanding of html and css especially when you are working with most of the modern web application development. Beginner level will only need basic understanding of it. But if you are looking for experienced roles it's better to have it. The best thing i can suggest is w3schools and web development simplified for these two which will help you have a better understanding of the frontend development.
