What do you mean “the” KJV? 1611 or 1769? They aren’t the same. Deuteronomy 26:1 - “which the Lord giueth” vs. “which the LORD thy God giveth” Joshua 13:29 - “tribe of Manasseh, by” vs. “tribe of the children of Manasseh by” Ruth 3:15 - “he went into the citie” vs. “she went into the city” Psalm 69:32 - “seeke good” vs. “seek God” Jeremiah 49:1 - “inherit God” vs. “inherit Gad” Matthew 16:16 - “Thou art Christ” vs. “Thou art the Christ” Mark 10:18 - “There is no man good” vs. “there is none good” (note that now “there is” is marked as being added by the translators for clarity) 1 Corinthians 4:9 - “approued to death” vs. “appointed to death” Numbers 6: 14 1611 to 1768 KJV Bibles: one lamb without blemish 1769 to 2020 KJV Bibles: one ram without blemish Ezekiel 24: 7 1611 to 1768 KJV Bibles: poured it upon the ground 1769 to 2020 KJV Bibles: poured it not upon the ground John 15: 20 1611 to 1768 KJV Bibles: The servant is not greater than the Lord. 1769 to 2020 KJV Bibles: The servant is not greater than his lord.

The healing water of the word maybe muddied by some that ought to know better, yet God is faithful to even heal the water for thirsty souls that seek him. I saw that video series on KZbin from that time in the Philippines on the Dangers of Calvinism, and it was an informative blessing to me too. So glad to hear God is still using it to bless and help others around the world. (singing) Little is much when God is in it. Labor not for wealth or fame. I have the book by Farstad and paused the video. Went to my bookshelf, grabbed the book, opened to page 111 and it does say that. "On every page of the NKJV New Testament the studious reader will find three different textual views represented." There are then three points more fleshed out than here, but for brevity. 1. TR, 2 NU(Critical text) 3. M for Majority Text.

God led me many years ago after I got saved in 1977 and veered away from the KJV for a short time. I bought an RSV and a NASB. I THOUGHT it might help me understand the Bible better. IT DID NOT HELP AT ALL. It did not take me long at all to KNOW something was wrong, especially with the RSV. Any spiritually minded Christian can do a comparison of them for themselves and come to the same conclusion I did in the 70's. They are NOT good or accurate translations but do in fact change doctrine by changing MANY words and leaving out whole verses in some cases. If you can live with that go ahead. I will stick with the KJV that was used to bring me to saving faith on April 3, 1977. There will NEVER be a replacement for the old KJV for me. It's a done deal. The Bible is the only book that only God's Spirit can give you a true understanding of. Without Him enlightening you and opening your understanding you will NEVER understand the word of God!

Praise the Lord! I concluded and am persuaded the same. The Spirit will lead us to all truth, but we have to humble ourselves and seek Him and His will. The reason most people don’t understand it is because they aren’t saved! Jesus gives us spiritual understanding! I only had a NKJV when I trusted the Lord and the next day, without truly understanding why, I downloaded a free KJV pdf on my computer and began reading that. Then found a little KJV bible without references or notes/margins and began to study His word. It is incredible how alive and clear the Lord can make His word.

As a KJV almost only, I do consult other versions but only those which predate Westcott and Hort, I asked myself the question "who owns the version?" and that settled the issue for me. NO ONE owns God's Word and He has preserved it. In my opinion, the rest are money making schemes, and that's one reason a new version has to come out every decade or so.

I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Geneva did it right. Romans 9:5- Geneva\ Of whom are the fathers, and of whom concerning the flesh, Christ came, who is God over all, blessed forever, Amen. KJV\ Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Same thing, different verse. Geneva is clear, KJV is ambiguous. The Holy Spirit works as a guide to lead us into all truth, yet if you explore other venues of thoughts and teachings that are contrary or ever so subtle in subverting from Scriptures and their meanings, don't assume that He's going to step in like a mighty avenger to haul you back or eradicate it from your life. He will continue to speak the word of truth to you as you've exposed or will expose yourself to it in reading, meditating on it, and recalling it, but the will of choice is still yours. You are a living sacrifice unto God; your faith is the fire you feed and keep it burning bright. The Lord certainly does all his part in the relationship but you must meet him there at least. The attitude you have denotes the comfort you draw and enjoy. The word of God is good for your and health for soul. You need clean provender to chew; not processed food.

It is so amazing that all these learned people have the best Bible (KJV) available and still criticize Calvinism. Is it pure laziness or just a case of there is none as blind as those who do not want to see? Makes me think of the Rapture brigade.

So, brother. Would you say any Christian who is not in line with reformed or Calvinist theology is not Truly a christian?

Scripture from God: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 KJV Theology from Men: "For God so loved the Elect, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever was unconditionally elected before the foundation of the world should not perish but have eternal life, for God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, and in order that the Elect might be saved through him." - John (Owen) 3:16

@user-ii8lj8ny6y define "world" in that verse. John uses "world" in at least three different senses, so give me the sense. Also, please consult the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:4 or Romans 9:18. Then consult John again when records Jesus saying that He lays down His life for the sheep the Father has given to Him. He knows them by name, they hear His voice and follow Him. Read all of Scripture, not just one verse into which you read in your own theology. Corollary: If Jesus died for the sins of the world ("world" meaning every man, woman, and child who has ever lived, these sense presumably you read into John 3:16) then why aren't you a universalist? Jesus said in John 19:30 it is finished. If you take world to mean literally everyone who has ever lived, then their sins are all paid for. If God sends anyone to hell, how do you avoid "double jeopardy?" If you want theology of men, look in the mirror.
