How to fix a poor mindset... 1. Rid yourself of any negative ideas, thoughts, and especially negative people. 2. Find a hobby or activity that motivates you. 3. Be resourceful, make people come to you for advice and instruction. 4. Network with people who are goal driven and achieving. 5. Read and write more often, this helps you generate more of a creative mindset.

People stay poor or in poor situations outta fear of the unknown. They're so used to the situation that they can't fathom what things could be like any other way. Before I quit my last job, I was content on staying because I was afraid of losing my comfort. Comfort will cripple you! We must not compromise our happiness for comfort and convenience. Playing it safe is okay for some, but it made me miserable because I knew I could do better if I quit letting fear cause me to have doubt. Whoever is reading this, I may never meet you, but I hope you find success in life and never allow your fear to keep you from it

What keeps people poor? 1) Ability to know needs over wants and leaving wants behind, until needs are taken care of. 2) Understanding the purpose behind DELAYED GRATIFICATION and using it to align your needs, goals and wants. 3) Being satisfied with the little you have, because they cause less distractions. 4) Treat yourself with self respect and everyone around you will be respected. These are things poor people do not practice. Maybe some,but not all and they are all a set, that work together, making a stronger human and aiding in wealth building.

I think one of the mindsets that keeps people poor is not knowing that wealth is "built" just like in farming. You sow the seeds in various sites and ways and then take your mind away from it while it grows. I was teaching my son this a few days ago and this example came to mind. So planting in stocks, real estate, commodities, giving to the poor, planting via business value rendered and relax while it compounds.

I think it’s mindset and learning. I started very poor. I’m trying to get out of it, but there can be emotional trauma holding myself back. I make mistakes frequently, I make errors in judgement, say things I wish I didn’t, then dwell. I think I was too sheltered and am trying to work out of it, but it is hard.

I think having a bad relationship with money, usually formulated during childhood, keeps many people poor. Whether it's a visible lack of money or an environment of money hating (the root of all evil sound-bite), we learn our money views early. We must unlearn those beliefs that keep money out of reach.
