Except that they changed the amount after i dropped this video because 95 percent of the times i get information from the Brazilian government website to make a video. I just noticed other websites saying 2000 usd. I think it is good to have higher so that you stand a good chance rather than having the same amount that the government is asking. From the name retirement visa, it means that (1.) you must be retired (you have to proof that) and secondly you need to proof the 1200 USD meaning that if it is profit from a business, you need to proof the business and lastly this visa has nothing to do with PR because you need to fulfill the residency requirement of 4 years before applying for this visa.

@@polyglotcenter8312 Thank you for watching. No you cannot get PR . Only your sister gets PR based on having a Brazilian child. Since you have no connection with the baby, then you will still have the same status you got in with. Only the child's siblings, parents and Grand parents can get PR. Moreover it's impossible to stay in Brazil for more than 6 months on a tourist visa.

Thank you so much for watching. The law states that you have to leave continuously in Brazil for 1 year from the date of issue of your PR in Brazil. If you split it and come back later, then you will start counting from the date that you returned. But why will you want to stay out of Brazil that long and then apply for citizenship? One year is a very short time to wait. Other countries will require you to wait for at least 5 years to apply. It is up to you when you want to apply for citizenship but it has to be at least 1 year of living in Brazil.

@@MarxismLeninismMaoism if you are in Brazil on a digital nomad visa, then that is how long your temporal resident permit is going to be valid. It cannot be extended or changed to work residency because you are self employed. Majority of the the times for you to be self employed, you need to be on a permanent residency. You can only change it when you do investment ( at least 150k reais with minimum of 10 employees). Again if you are self employed, then you are the owner of your service, thus cannot own an employment permit. Employment permit is given only to the people whom you employ ( in the case of investment).
