I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago and thus have a Caribbean passport. A few years ago I was taking my mom to Croatia (no visa requirement for us in the EU) and I remember immigration holding us back as the officer could not believe that we were neither British or American and yet we needed no visa. She called her supervisor as she was still in disbelief and the supervisor said please just stamp their passport and let them through. Then I realised how fortunate we are. Am happy for you and we open our arms to you and accept you as a Afro Caribbean brother.

Trinidad and Tobago are in America, my sweet sister, The United States is only one country in America, have you ever heard of the OAS, go and google it and read up on it history on it's own website, and there is a regional financial institution called the IDB, which stands for the Inter American Bank. These are the trivial things that we've learnt as children, however in brief mention, as our educator are unaware of what it is they are really teaching us, then there are those government officials, who are trying to indoctrinate us to a delusional existence, because of their horrible experiences growing up and living during the colonial ruling era. So now you know, you are America, you are just from one country, in a collective region called the Caribbean, and a wider region called the West Indies, remember these things.

@@thelivingroom6172 How do you think it's discrimination? It isn't. It is just quite unusual for many small nations (citizens), particularly Island nations, to not need a visa to go into many countries, not just re Europe. It's only about re where (would think) visas be required, and not. That's all. There are some other Nations passports besides British & U.S. Passports that you won't need a visa, for Some countries, but of the 200+ Nations most of those (citizens) will require a visa to visit most countries. [Google the 'Countries Passports Index' & best to have (top will surprise), & scroll down to see which aren't so good - there's a few that will surprise, down that end. My country's passport can get you into a number of countries without a visa, but my next door neighbour not only got stopped as didn't have visa (when didn't need one), but didn't even get into a country. Definitely no racism. And his girlfriend was ok'd in, as she had a different country's passport as is a Dual Citizen. Even when might not need a visa, depends how long will be there, & for my country it's max 90 days (can be non consecutive, but no more than for total of one 6 month period) for 27 EU countries. Other EU, need a visa. The U.S. (short-terms) visa waiver program applies to only 40 countries. [Includes Croatia] EU's is split into regions, so may need for one region, but not another. [I think that may be what caused the confusion for custom's officer]. Also, while may not need a visa, for some places, very often do require a Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA/ETA) instead. Go to your own government's information site/s, find re travel/visas, & it may surprise you where you need a visa for, & where you don't. The countries included or excluded re any particular country's passport & if need a visa if coming from there, changes all the time. In 2019 may not needed a visa, in 2024 may **My comments Only relate to Staceymet's comment, that you replied to. They do NOT relate to the video. [As always re international travel, don't use any comment on social media as being great info re passports, visas, etc & of course make sure to check thoroughly requirements relevant]

What about trying other countries like the UK, or even a European country like Finland or whatever. Once you live enough in those country to be a citizen, you'll be able to travel to the US or Canada, and try to apply for a job and get residency there. I'm not saying that's your case, but in my opinion, some people are sometimes too fixated in one or two countries instead of broadening their horizons. There are many immigrants in France that live in the forest and try every single day to illegaly cross the border to England. We have the same standard of living in France but it looks like to them they're in a third world country and England is a first world country and that's where they need to go. I know they have a much bigger community in the UK, but still. Instead of puting their strenght into making a life in France and once they get residency or citizenship they could more easily cross the border and carry on with their lives in England. Anyway, good luck to you. But broaden your horizons. I've been to Canada not in the US, but no country is a Paradise. Most first world countries have the same living standard. If you want to stick to your community, like many who come to Europe, the best place is to stay in your country. That's logical.

@@maxbilo6191 He's in Pakistan, how can HE get to those countries you mentioned without a visa? LOL UK is the toughest country when it comes to apply visa. You can come here by crossing the English channel illegal, or buy paying so much money to come to study. Both way it will cost him a fortune.

@@eliasnavytanga I didn't say he doesn't need a. visa to get to those countries. My point is, if he's being denied a visa for the USA and Canada, maybe he should open his mind for other destinations. As for the UK for being one of the toughest countries to apply for a visa, I have no idea, but I trust you on that one. I mentioned the UK just as an example of a possible candidate among other European countries and because english is spoken. I wasn't to say it was easy to get a visa out that he should specifically try to apply for a visa for the UK. The point was just to say that he should try other destinations and not to focus with a couple that have already denied him. Anyway good luck to him.

Bro it's not funny at all, I think passport plays 80-90% role in visa issuance. There's this common saying in my place which says "those who had their kernels cracked by a benevolent spirit, should not laugh at others who didn't have theirs cracked" this saying, depicts alot. I have been denied not less than 3times at 3 different countries embassies or visa centres. Once one is born a Nigerian! You are trailing destiny/life/basic needs of life behind with almost 10 goals. What an unbalanced, unjust world! . However, I'm inspired and have got goosebumps by your story and 'never-say-never' determination and/or attitude. It's well, even inside well bro ❤ cheers

How about that? Do you even have the money to travel within your country? You are being simplistic. You probably still don't own land because it belongs to the crown. They continue to keep the natives poor and dependant on these so-called European countries for handouts. Furthermore, it's not European lands. They stole it from the arawaks! OECS member here!

"make me realize how privileged i am" Firstly, the Caribbean belonged to the Arawaks it was stolen by the Europeans! What privilege? Do you own land? Can you pay for your passage to travel within your country? You all need to stop glamorising this while the descendants of slaves still struggle in the Caribbean. While at the same time the descendants of those who enslaved us now enjoy freedoms that we got because we wore the chains. Stop whitewashing history and glamorizing the suffering of my ancestors. Today he is free because we suffered and still suffering that we have to sell passports. Do you see the Irony? Yes and I am a member of the OECS! Tell our story before you can partake in our glory! How did we get here? We were sold by Africans. How about that? You can delete this too. I said what I said.

Congratulations Tayo🎉 Your grit & determination earned you this despite the financial constraints. No human should face discrimination but unfortunately we Nigerians are top of the list. You’re an inspiration to us all who are in the quest for our freedom and you’ve shown there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. 2024 is a year of exploration and I can’t wait to see your videos of South Korea

So happy for him, I can only imagine how frustrating it is to be a filmmaker trying to tell stories all over the world with a Nigerian passport but at least that’s in the past now! Greater heights Tayo and I really hope you hit that 1 million mark soon, been suscribed for a while and I’d definitely say you really deserve it!!

As your audience is truly about to be global with your new passport that allows you visit more places worldwide and tell more stories, you will always be Nigerian at heart, one of our own and an Ambassador for the country. We know you will be out there doing your thing and making us proud, and help change the narrative that has affected many Nigerians. Congratulations, and I wish you all the best, Mr. Aina. Godspeed, brother! The 1m subscribers will be in the bag before August 🙏

I easily feel dejected and give up when faced with huge obstacles, or when I feel like I'm being dealt an unfair hand in life. This mentality has cost me many opportunities. I can only wonder what I could have been had I had your tenacity, patience and single-mindedness. This video inspires me greatly. Welcome to this new act of your life.

Our children do not know what us their parents went through to get them this freedom. Tayo you are a noble son! Well done and may you go beyond the sky with this new passport. It’s amazing all these years the struggle you’ve been through to learn new cultures and show the rest of us how amazing the world is. I’ll work hard to be able to travel the world like you. Much love Tayo. Keep doing Great.

First of all, congratulations on being able to travel around the world with little or no hassle at all. Now, we are super ready to view the world from your perspective. I particularly love the fact that you were not only able to show what travelling or applying for visas looks like for Nigerians but also show us how enjoyable but expensive it is to should i say to have a feel of what "freedom" really is when travelling the world. I'm a photographer who has started his journey in Lagos just like you and i want to be able to document people, places and events through my "lens". So help me God.
